Offset for a widebody

So i was wondering what offset would be good for a wide body. Im probably gonna get diamond racing wheels (cheap and custom), and i was wondering what offset would be good for the widebody? a little negative? does anybody know what dansyoung has? or that red v6 1st gen widebody? thanks.

just take your rims and turn them around then you have some wide body looking rims

Hello! Offset is the same as stock, with a widebody you are extending the fender out further allowing a wider wheel but retain the same offset.

My rims are 17x10 in the front and 17x12 in the rear, with IIRC 4.5" backspacing front and rear.

Just double checked and my backspacing is 4.5" front and rear. I could go to a 4" backspacing in the rear tho and run a 13 or 14" wide rim in the future.

Just a slight correction. Your retaining the same backspacing. However Offset would be different.

BTW. I would hump the hell out of your CCW's.....

Hmmmm yes thank you. I really don't like offset measurements, backspacing seems to make alot more sense because the number remains constant while offset changes with wheel size hmmm.

widebody

Dan you have really large flare on your widebody on his kit i think 10inch wide back is the largest. I my opinion go with a custom 16 inch, 17 is too big.

I have the 17 CCW like Dans on my car, i would do it over again i would go 16 as the car sits kinda high.

Just my opinion

Hope these help. If you decide to go with a 16" rim make sure you do your research with tires, you will end up paying more and it is more difficult to find a tire as wide. Personally I would go with a 17" wheel again, and just use shorter springs in the rear to adjust for the ride height.
