This can be handled in steps.
Step 1: Kill you friend.... or at least break his arm
Step 2: Most likely pull transmission
Step 3: inspect said transmission
Step 4: fix transmission
Step 5: profit

Pull the tailsection, you will see the shift arm assemblies. They should be in a line, but one of yours has been clicked off into the detent. Move it back into place with the shifter in neutral.

if you decide to pull the tail section to inspect the shift rod and arm assemblies, remove the trans first. much easier to work on when the trans is standing up on the garage floor!

Haha, you got lucky then. I have had to pull the tail and do it manually on three different transmissions.

Don't kill your friend until after he's helped you pull and install the trans... should it happen again.

No arm breaking???
Hahaha, good for you man.
Just remember if you need an extra set of hands around just remind your friend of this time. Make him feel really bad about what he did/put you through.
