New muffler wanted (sound Clip inside)

Car is a SP 12A with a RB header and presilencer and a 45 DCOE

muffler is currently some off brand single in dual out, looking for options that will take this ting sound out out of it its obnoxiously loud for reference that was maybe 3500 RPM

Looking for options on a muffler with a lower grumble too it

You want the RB SP center section and a power pulse to make it sound awesome. You may need the SP header as well.

The Racing beat PR Extreme is a great choice... I have a Road race center section with the dual silencers in a FS thread if interested but shipping to Canada would suck!! lol

That muffler probably won't last long if you get any backfires either. It does sound nasty, have to agree.

well u already have the RB header and presilencer, all u need is to add their power pulse muffler. i have their street port exhaust system. it's very quiet compared to how it sounds without the center section.

An RB muffler is close to 500 Canadian by the time I get one up here with shipping exchange rate and duty charges. I'm thinking the borla boomer series seems to be favorable on this board of ya can get an RB one.

Ok, your choice but once you have to replace these other mufflers a few times, the RB cost will not look so bad. You will never blow out the RB exhaust and it will sound excellent even with the rest of your setup. I have heard some Borlas and they are ok but I've all seen them grenade on occasion as well. Its winter up there now, you can think about while the car is in storage .

Plus you can get RB setups or pieces used here on the forum. I got mine that way for $400.00, the full system (header, midsection, muffler) from someone in Ohio that used to race a rotary. That was more than 5 years ago and its still good. I did have to replace the header as it finally burned through but I think it was on its way when I got (racing you know). You can probably find just a used RB muffler to try for cheap as well.

The cost of a borla, plus installation, plus the cost of a racing beat muffler when you realize it is still too loud and obnoxious is much more expensive than the $500 it costs to just buy the Racing Beat muffler in the first place. It is very quiet and will outlast the rest of the car. I made a video once trying to show the difference before and after installing...but it literally sounds the same as stock, or at worst maybe 10% louder but barely detectable from a GoPro microphone.

Can't go wrong with a the Racing Beat Power Pulse muffler for your RX-7 in my humble opinion.

What's people's opinion on the universal racing beats those are an actual respectable price rather then the direct fit power pulse.
