I was an advid Hot wheels collector for years so I tend to still look when I am in the retail stores... Hard habit to break.. LOL

I am very glad I decided to look today and I actually found 3 of them.. I opened one and placed it on my desk at work...
The other 2 are at home with me..one on the dresser and one stored for safe keeping.. If I get a chance to look tomorrow, I will spread the wealth to anyone who is interested..

I have been looking every time I go into a store that sells Hot Wheels, and apparently the stores around me haven't received too many of the 2012 collection yet.

That would be a car from a different year/series...

Hotwheels numbers their vehicles every year. The RX7 is from 2012...

Checked my local walmart again today while picking up some calendar shipping supplies, and BAM! They had three on an end shelf. You bet I picked them all up.

Just an update. These are now readily available on ebay, but at an inflated price, at no surprise to me. I will still wait and find some locally.

I'm having a heck of a time finding this thing. Most of the stores around me have a bunch of 2011 junk still. Out of the few 2012 cars, I haven't seen a single Rx7. I'll keep looking, but I was hoping to go buy 2 or 3 of them.

I just scored a 3-pack of them off e-buy, less than $10 including shipping. Must be getting pretty widely available.

actually they are becoming rare. The Amazon leaders have discussed making these a collectible since they can get them and such. Places like walmart and toysrus get them as random items so they will become hard to find

They don't release the entire line 2012 cars at once, they are released progressively throughout the year in batches. You should see them in your area soon; if they are on the east coast then you're just waiting for them get out of a distribution center or the back of a store!
