National Auto Specialties

Thanks to a forum member, I finally have an Rx7. I had several years ago until 2009 when I traded in my 86. Now I have an 84 GSL-SE that I will be restoring. Anyway, I am going through old boxes and finding Rx7 stuff from years ago. One is a catalogue from National Auto. I think it is from 82 or 83 maybe. They had turbo chargers, a weber 2x2 bbl carb set up and all kinds of dress up and performance parts. Too bad they are still not around. I shake my head at myself for taking all this for granted. I should have kept my cars.

I'd like to see the rotary engineering catalog. I've always wondered about their rotary capable glasspacks.

Rotary ****? Now that is funny

Yes, yes, I have some time tonight. But, I am old and old school which means I bought a 79 RX7 almost fresh out of college. I have a scanner and will do my best. I will need the help of people less than a hundred to figure out how to post it here. Believe me, you do want to see this catalogue

I have an old RE catalog stuffed in my folder from way back. I'll see about getting it out and
scanned.

I had the RE exhaust setup for years on my 7 and it was comparable to the RB short collected
header/ single tube exhaust setup you can get today. World of difference getting the RB SP
with the dual pipes back to the rear axle.

My apologies

For not having done this yet. I get home and I am so beat, I sit down and become one with the chair. I need to retire. I am dealing with an old neck and back injury (bulged discs) from several on the job car crashes many years ago. They keep me awake and no amount of pain pills seem to work.

I had that system. It had 2 presilencers, which they reasoned would absorb sufficient heat for the thrush turbo muffler to survive. It did, for 6 or 7 years.

I have their glasspacks being used as presilencers in a long primary in the REPU. They're the first muffling devices in the system and as such are closest to the engine. I have a feeling they will only last 6 months. When they croak I've got a set of custom presilencers as seen in my thread. https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-non-.../#post11844263 They even have expansion chambers like RB uses.
