I have 2 projects going on:
81 sa22c euro spec, cermet housings, new everything, all oem mazda parts. new bearings. lapped irons. oil mods. baffle in the oil pan. Engine built (short block). Very tidy, looks like it will run great. I still need to assemble the front stack, oil pump, oil pan etc...
Street ported using racing beat templates. 2nd gen cas and coils. FD lower intake, upper intake and tb. Coilovers, LSD, rear discs, fd interior. Spirit R paint. Electric mazda mx3 sliding sunroof. Momo steering wheel, momo bucket seat. Coilovers
Rotor shaped wheels
Need to buy: megasquirt, fuel pump, injectors, Holset hx35
80 sa22c euro spec, half bridge using racing beat templates, same oil mods, baffle in the pan, new bearings. CBR 600RR individual throttle bodies, Nitrous Express system with 2 shark foggers, Megasquirt 1. 8 injectors. fender mounted mirrors. Stock sleeper look interior except from a sparco steering wheel, sparco shift **** and sparco pedals.
Engine was built with parts "left over" from the 81 engine. As a result, apex seals came from one engine (but well within spec. shortest one was 8,3mm) and housings came from another engine.
Makes really low comp and I was told I would need a ton of time to break it in, so I got a new set of apex seals
To clarify things... I also have a "project" honda civic turbo ... another money pit ....
wait to hear this: My daily driver is a .......... honda fit. Great car, great mpg .... so freaking BORING!!!
I WANNA DRIVE A 7 TO WORK EVERY DAY AND ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF IT!.
I still cant believe I have 2 non running first gens and Im not newly divorced...
