Yesterday I decided to get the LS out, get it washed and take it for a nice drive. My middle son went with me and he and I had a great time in the car. Its the first time I've had the car out this year. The kidney transplant slowed me down this spring and when I went back to work, I got a promotion, which has consumed a lot of my free time to play with the cars. Needless to say, it was nice to get the car out, clean it up and put some miles on it. I thought I'd share a few pictures I took of the car yesterday evening.
In addition to washing the car, which by the way was long overdue, I pulled the spare to check its pressure and condition. It's holding air without issue and what's amazing is that while its not perfect, it still looks really nice after 45 years.
Glad your on the mend and congrats on the promotion, you have a sweet ride, and she looks great, not to mention the weather was perfect this weekend in our neck of the woods.
:-) Car show weekend, great weather and great turnout

So that's excellent, what a beauty and great you can share it with your son! You, sir, are having an excellent year. Glad you're on the upswing and congrats on the promotion!
Thank you all for the kind words! Às for DGRR, I may not be able to attend next year, but schedule permitting, its something I would consider.
As for it being an excellent year, I cannot agree more!! A second chance at life is such an incredible thing. It chamges your outlook on many things and in many ways. The promotion is good, but sudden and unexpected. The salary increase is great, but the work load is increased a lot as well. For instance, I got to work yesterday at 730 am and got home at 730 pm. Long hours and mentally challenging is what it can be. But I am embracing the challenges and have a positive outlook on the future.
Looking good as usual Dave. I'd say one of the very best of a small number of LS's still surviving.
Thank you very much! I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to own the car. Its a non negotiable thing that the car spends every night in the garage. I try very hard to maintain the car and keep up with the maintenance.
