Thanks for all the compliments guys!! I don't think there's any lean-age on the left rear, I do know where it was parked the ground was very uneven. I've owned it for 3 years, picked it up in 06 from the original owner with only 60K on the clock. I've cared for it really well, and it doesn't look like I added 22K more miles =]

Love the rich brown interior and overall color combination. You're right it doesn't look like it has that much mileage. You've got the engine bay ready for a Concours d' Elegance.

Saw a similar automatic with this color combo for sale in Florida a while back. I think it was going for over $6K. Your's looks just as good if not better.

Beautiful car. I think the "rear wheel lean" is just a lens-angle artifact.

I'm curious, what is the production date on your car? I don't think I've ever seen a 83 with the reinforceing "ribs" on the front strut towers, I've only seen them on 84/85 cars....

Sean, i think 83 was the first year for the reinforcing ribs on the top of the strut tower. i looked at some of my old pics for of my FB's for reference and the 82 GSL i had did not have them but the 83 parts car does. thats something that i've never noticed before today. good catch!

I'll double check but I'm 99.99999999% positive neither of mine have them, my 83 gs is from 9/82 and the 83 s is a 4/83 build date... Strange

This brown looks good when it's in such nice shape. It really looks nice. If it were mine I would throw a full Racing Beat exhaust on it and a set of Racing Beat springs / new shocks and a set of silver Panasports That is if you have an extra $2000 to blow...

i'll have to double check the build date, but here are a couple of pics of the 83 GSL parts car i picked up a couple years back. i still have the empty shell so i can check build date. while the pic isnt 100% clear you can see the ribs on the strut towers. i included an interior pic of the car for further confirmation as an S3:

I think you meant to type "further confirmation its a 83" not "S3" but I know what you mean, definatly looks like an 83, at least the gauge cluster is. I checked, never of mine have the ribs. I'm guessing they started using them on the very late run 83 cars...

parts fische isn't definative... it just shows F003-54-210/F003-53-210 for 81-83 and FA54-53-210/FA54-54-210 for 84-85...

i know they made some changes to the body late 83...

i had the axle out a few weeks back to do a wheel bearing replacement. I took a cell phone pic that I could post, but i dunno if it'll show anything

Yea post it up I'm curious. When you ordered bearings did you just order them for a 83 or did you bring yours along to compare?
