Knick Knacks that make owning a 7 easier

Anyone have any to share?

My brother used to be big into the Gas powered RC cars. Well, he had this handy gas tote thing
that he used to fill his gas tank with. It made it so much easier to pour it into a little hole with this
bottle. Well, he hasn't used it in years, and I thought, hey...

It comes with a handle and a few holes/holders so you can put a phillips/flathead screw drivers
and a wrench or 3 on the back side of it. I cleaned it and put my Premix in it. If you follow the 1oz
per gallon rule, I measured 1oz to be 4 lines on the bottle. This will be so much easier than using
a medicine cup!

Here is where you can get a starter kit: http://www.hobbypartz.com/nistset.html It comes
with the bottle and other RC stuff, but you can use the screwdrivers and throw away/give away the
rest. Not bad for $14

Thought I would pass this tidbit around, if you guys have anything you want to add feel free

Good to know. I'll be switching to premix on the new engine and I wasn't really sure how I was going to go about measuring.

The miata cupholder which fits prefectly in my SA.

The stealthy audio cable I made that connects my ipod to the stock clarion stereo.
Sorry no pics of that.

The wool seat covers.

I find that having a miata helps keep fuel cost down.

I've also kept a few of those individual lil 2stroke oil bottles and use them for premixing and a 113 piece tool kit in one of the bins.

+1 on the bandages.

AAA-Card would definitely be something I would recommend, its well worth the membership.

I think a little drop down cupholder might be nice but then again with FC seats I can put my food and drink next to each other and buckle them in for safety :P

Pretty self explained but a small toolset or atleast a bag with the most common wrenches and sockets needed to work on an RX-7.

I'm also definitely gonna look into that bottle Stew.

DD is right about the beer and bandages.

The next best thing you can get for your 7 is some nice kumho sneakers, then get one of those bottles Stu is talking about.

Like everyone else with blown hatch shocks, I had to prop the thing up somehow. And like everyone else I just used a pole until getting around to buying new shocks.

When I recieved the new shocks, the one which was supposed to be wired for the rear wiper of course was just a universal one.

So I just installed the one on the left and it supports the hatch just fine. Yea, I know it is not right, but it works.

Without passion we would all be driving grey Honda Civics.

I've got a neat tiny little ratchet with screwdriver bits for loosening the fuel jets so I can change them and waste more gas. I looked all over the place at all the major car parts and tool stores, then went to Princess Auto (our cheapo, break it by breathing on it store) and found exactly what I was looking for, for less than $15.

Without it I would have to pull the fuel bowl plugs and pour gas all over the place to change them. Much cleaner this way.

I disagree. Most people on here are here for the dirfting trend and they will buy something new once they blow their first engine. We've seen it for years now. First the boom with import drag racing then, then Fast and furrious, then it was just loyalists for a few years, then drifting hit and the posers are at it again.

What I meant is that those of us that are actually in the "scene" because we have passion for it would probably rather drive little econoboxes if we didn't love our 7's. I have a Sunfire as my winter DD. If I didn't love my 7, it would be my fulltime driver.

I use this for premixing. It is a funnel with measurements in ozs, ml, and a bunch of other volume measurements. I fill the funnel up to what I need, put it in the tank, and open the valve at the bottom. Got it at Wal-mart for like $5

(I took of the silly plastic tube thing, the blue **** is the valve, and the funnel also has a lid on top to prevent the oil residue from coming out inside the car.

What about if I've owned 3 Rx-7s and am about to rebuild the engine in my current one?

^ Then you have passion. Some people would sell it or send it to the junkyard. I, like you, saw a blown engine as more of an opportunity than a problem.

I bought one of these, but I didnt really like it. The bottom section slid around too much, and the placement for the cups sucked for driving. Plus, I am usually only drinking bottled water and I slide it inbetween the seat bolster/seat belt/console area. I gave the cup holder to a friend with an NA miata last night. It fit much better into her car.

The hose is too small in diameter to run beer through it. You need at minimum a 1.5" ID hose for true, high velocity beer bonging.
