WHO CARES!? Its not like we would DARE use these anyway

The whole "cache" is the _lack_ of use, Bro. Other than driving to show her off, I wouldn't risk having the NOS tire in the car - I mean, what if you get a flat?? You'll kick your @ss around the block if you have to put that tire to pavement! Show it off mounted up on the garage wall (just what I would do...if I had a garage).

aarrrgh! Build? The Time! The Time! - who has any?? (OK, $$ too - maybe if I wasn't buying all these parts?)

Haven't even got the SA OUT yet, so damn busy.

Hec, that is one tasty SA -surprised, it looks great with the SE wheels. Is that the original Bronze color?

My never-to-be-used (#@#!!?%) new Leather-wrapped steering wheel. Did you know Mazda was asking -*gag*- $960 for these? No I did not pay that for it...

Challer2K I gotta tell ya I'm not a huge aftermarket wheel fan, but those Black rims are KILLER on the Aurora White!! Wow. And the chrome lips around 'em. Dee-licious!
Now, you got to find your self a new shift ****, Man - that one is the most worn out I have _ever_ seen
-and yet your seats look like new? Go figure.

Sorry Pete - didn't mean to rub it in with the St Wheel. I'll never actually use the damn thing - if that helps?

Stu, this parts center in Beligum, you can get these types of things from it? I've got a 15 day R&R this comming August. I scheduled it around the Belgium GP at Spa, well that and lots of German beer. Tell me more, where in Belgium?

Banzai-
don't want to get your hopes up - it's a personal contact with a friend who works at the Center. Its the central parts distribution for European dealers, not a walk-in-with-your-shopping-cart kinda place (I wish!!) He sourced the complete set from Japan for me, since none were avai in Europe (no surprise, very few SAs ever sold there). He said I was lucky as these were amongst the last in inventory in Japan - and this was over a year ago.
12As are officially el morte.
Spa? As in the the Spa race?? woot! Have a brew for me will you?? Sounds like a fun trip.

Pic o the Day:
JDM RX7 Savanna "Limited" badge. NOS. This mounts where our "Rotary Engine" badge is. These were for the top of the line RX7s, of which there where FOUR initial models in the JDM SA line-up of Feb. 78:
-Limited
-GT (equivalent of our GS here)
-Super Custom
-Custom

Fun JDM Factoids-
-JDM SA RX7s had NO external antenna - was built into windshield
-Limited's featured the same style seats as later US FB RX7s - but with the Funky plaid cloth pattern
-even the stripper "Custom" model had the 5-speed in Nippon, you may recall the 79,80 US "S" base models here had 4-speeds

Stu,
It's just as well, you probablly saved me thousands of dollars. I should be grateful but somehow I feel as empty as my shopping cart.........I'm in awe of your Factoids and apparent vault of NOS parts. Seeing how Alaska is the only state I have yet to visit, a meet and greet might just have to be a part of when that trip does happen. Looks like I might be in your old neighborhood too. I'm spending the first week of my R&R in Bavaria, doing a Motorcycle rally in the Alps. Then heading west for a couple laps around the Nürburgring before the GP weekend. Last time I was there was 04, the day Schumacher clinched his last championship.
Keep the Factiods comming, it could be a thread all it's own......

Been a little busy (just finished up with college), but I’m going to post more pics later this week. I’m waiting for clear side markers from Atkins, should be on Friday or Saturday. Then I’ll take more pics.

I second Banzai's call.

Stu - start a factoid thread and dammit keep teasing us with more pics of NOS bits and pieces from that ultimate collection of yours will ya?

Banzai - man you do R&R right! I hope someday I'll get to the Nürburgring. Post pics when you get back. Until then I'll have to settle for virtual racing in today's great racing video games. What a thrill it must have been to see Schumacher bring it home in his last year. Perfect mix of man and machine - actually Schuey was every bit a machine himself - what a pro! I met him and had a chance to hang out in the paddock and watch closely the telemetry systems in the garage during a Brit GP at Silverstone.

I did this last time too, it was my version of a religous experience. The same real estate that Faniago, Clark and so many others traversed. Leaves you tingling all over. Highly recommended if you get the chance.
