Honestly, man, it comes down to the OGTA cards. Once you get a local meet going, start putting cards under the wipers of cars as you come across them. If you tag them, they will come.

Hey, it was a community waiting to happen. Now we just need to get Jefferies to conform.
Ken you don't even want to know about the stuff that goes on down here in Georgia

If you all like these great big groups of people, come to Zoom Fest July 18th and 19th at Road Atlanta. Make it an effort to come drive down. At least 80% of the people at the OGTA meeting you see here are planning to attend. Come chat with everyone. It's the second annual Zoom fest and we want to make it bigger and bigger each year. More info is in the SE section of the forum.
I hate that I showed up late for this one Ray. This is the first time you've posted OGTA pics outside of the OGTA forum and no one can see my car. Haha I'll post pics from a previous OGTA then.

Rotary Freak
It's basically a press car, number 100006 with 17k miles. It's got GSL-SE distributor and coils, S4 NA drivetrain for all we can tell, and TII brakes and hood (for the sake of making magazine covers).
It's got 17k miles, and the occasional oddity. It's got a blacked-out vinyl applique at the trailing edge of the b-pillar, almost like what you see on Dodge Rams that hides the B-Pillar so it looks like glass. It basically makes the rear glass look bigger from a distance. It's also got tail-light illumination bulbs in the bumper skin rather than in the S4.
I wonder if it's got an N304 ECU from a GSL-SE so it's fuel-only, as there's no CAS or FC coils. I've also wondered if it's got S4 irons and housings, or if they're GSL-SE, but there's no way to know without taking it apart. I thought it was kinda funny that it's got a molded coolant overflow bottle that accepts the little coil wire support for the SE coils, which I don't remember seeing on regular FCs. If so, that's one very rare part!
Holly, you got more details on the car?

No brake light on the rear body, but the spoiler has a cut out for the brake light.
There is a body kit on it too.
Front fenders has side marker lights.
BBS wheels that are styled like the Vert mesh wheels.
Leather back seat to match the gray front seats
GXL sport active suspension system.
Black folding side mirrors
I'm sure there are other things I can't remember right now. I need to work on a list.

Okay, it was a '86 but it was a 300ZX, not a 280Z.
And Ray, that second video was kind of creepy. Like watching a spy cam and only one of the people in the video knows its there. 84 seconds of watching Crit trying to act natural...

Yeah Crit is going to trash my camera one of these days. But don't worry, they all know what I'm up to and I censor most of the unflattering photos.
Sam, Dave, Kerebus, others wondering how to get a meet going or increase participation, I think some of the things that make OGTA work, besides all the really cool southern gals and dudes that live down here, are:
1) Having a consistent regular meeting day (1st Tuesday of the month for us)
2) Meeting on a week day evening instead of a weekend, this is a much smaller and more convenient time committment than weekends for most people (but we still have special weekend meets)
3) Like Crit said, having the cards (which started off as a joke) and other ways like the OGTA post on SE to spread the word
4) A very generous parts exchange and sale policy (most stuff is free or bartered) which helps people make connections and get the parts they need for very reasonable cost
5) A bunch of genuine rotary motor heads like Billy, Holly, Crit, etc, terrific sources for information and parts who make us all look good.
6) A liberal admission policy (we even admit FD's for example, but they only count as 1/3 of a 12A equivalent)
7) No Out of Control Egos ('cept me, of course)
We started out as 3 really old guys (Greg the Elder, Mike and me) only about a year and a half ago, with Billy, Holly, Crit and Donnie hovering in the background until we proved we weren't making fools of ourselves (or maybe it was the other way around). Here's a few photos and video from the early days in '07

Wow, I finally have a vague idea of what Billy actually looks like! We still haven't met face to face, but hopefully we'll rectify that at Zoom Fest.
