I was getting an eye shot

afterwards in the parking lot, this gal drives up in an immaculate white '85 rx-7 gsl. It was garage kept, and she bought in new. When I showed her my parking lot warrior, she asked who was my mechanic? I said proudly, "I am!" Gave her this website, and told her there's all kinds of info here. She hasn't shown up. An she said she changes the oil every 8 months. Her car runs ok except, it sometimes needs oil, and the choke has to be pulled out for it to idle. A 35 year old car, and the only thing wrong with it is the choke needs to be pulled out for it to idle? She also told me the paint is original.

I lost sight in one eye from a retinal veil blood clot. The eyeshots help a little. Sucks getting old. Should of been a raging booze hound and chain smoked like my father.

I'm 42 and that didn't kill me neither.

Still have both eyes but they aren't the greatest anymore

I'm almost 65. I am like my 37 year old car. Pieces keep failing (door handles, combi switches, paint peeling, eczema, bulging disks, swelling retinas) but the core is still good, (drive train, brakes, body, heart, lungs, liver, and I did 17 regular pullups in one set this morning).

I'm 57 last month. I wish I am in the same perfect condition like my 36 year old car.

Ohio has a shelter in place order and I have realized that I will never retire because I mentally can't.

The only time I get frustrated with getting older, (I'm 62) is when I cannot see that dimly lit bolt underneath the dash somewhere and cannot get my head to tilt in the right angle to look through the bifocals.

That really pisses me off, in a way that only an old man can fully understand.

And oh, I also get pissed when the neighbor kids ride their bikes through my yard, damned little bastards.

"Shelter-in-place" is my normal routine at this point other than walking the dog twice a day and shopping once a week. Just turned 68 last month and have age-related macular degeneration in one eye so I can relate to trying to work on/in small areas and trying to focus with reading glasses. However, I still get my a kick out of hearing my rev-limit buzzer on a spirited run (just like when I first got my GSL-SE in 1994.)

"this "shelter in place" is such b s. and the stores limiting their hours. now instead of grocery shopping at 4 am so as to avoid the unwashed diseased masses, the stores have compressed hours and I have to share the store with all those unwashed diseased masses

at least now I don't have to explain to people that I never shake hands.
