If all of us waited around until we had the time and money to do things perfectly, well I don't think that much would ever get done.

Agreed. It looks real nice, but I think it would look better with a white hood. But two-tone black/white is FTW. I'll be doing something similar with mine, I think.

I might pay someone to have a picture of Flora from the Winx Club airbrushed on the hood of the S model. Nah. Better make it Musa.

no hate.

as i said to each their own. i just dont understand why you wouldnt do it the right way. thats all im saying. i did all the body work and paint on my car myself. i also made sure there were no waves no chips no digs and that everything was perfect. and i also used auto paint which that alone took me somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 hours or more. there are a lot of coats of paint and then a ton of coats of clear (flat clear is a bitch to lay as its harder to tell if everything is properly evenly covered)

if youre taking 11 hours to prep and paint **** why not take the extra time to make sure all the waves are out and it is properly done?

maybe this idea is just eluding me......

also as i said if he is happy with it more power to him...personally id never be able to walk out to my car in the morning with waves in the side skirts and be happy with it.....

and im just curious why is everyone all of a sudden going to the 2 tone paint job?

the only reason the skirt wave is because i have pop riveted them to the underbody yet, only along fender, i dont think there going anywhere :shrugs: and the 12 hours was prep, paint, and mounting the body and somewhere in the middle of all of that i went to my nephew b-day party, so its not like ive invested too much time, for a days worth of work, im very happy with it.

because ever other time i work on the car for a day, i make negative progress as something i dont have to replace always breaks.

mine isnt riveted on the bottom either...in fact i dont recall needing to secure it to the bottom at all......
each side is held on by 5 pop rivets (painted flat black) and 4 screws....

Cody, I've got a white hood if you want it. I was thinking about throwing it on my red fb just to see how it looks, but have more important projects to keep up with right now. If you want it, its yours...

Yea your car looks cool too. not usually a fan of gold, but your car pulls it off quite nicely.
I think someday when I go to repaint my PandaFB I'll be doing it a solid color though....
