Charging AC in 84 FB

Charging AC in 84 FB

Tried to use one of these on the low side AC port.

Quick connect didn't fit. Shot product evnesting? where.

Any suggestions? I thought the connectors where universal, no?

84 FB Air Compressor.

That product won't work. The all first gen rx-7s used R12. You will either need R12 or to swap all the out to R134. This will require the system to be evacuated and recharged with R134. The swap also requires new fittings for the R134.

Why are you worrying about the AC? Don't both of your RX-7 have engine issues?

Yeah, AC isn't much use in a non-running car.

I just pulled my AC system out of my FB. Doesn't do a whole lot of good in Alaska anyway and the whole system weighs about 40lbs.

I think thats the high side port anyway, so I bet it shot crap everywhere if it was running.

Was waiting for some one to lob that grenade into the room..

Tried both ports. Connector didn't fit either.

Yep, sprayed produced. Now I've learned, wrong stuff.
