Carbon Fiber Headlight Covers

Ive got a set of spare light doors here and wondered if anyone would be interested in a set of carbon fiber light doors? ?I can also make a set with a vent in the headlight if you would like. I couldnt find these anywhere so i thought if im going to make them for myself i could maybe use the molds make some for other members. Post if your interested

i like the idea i was going to make aluminum ones but no time any more. maybe some day. I was going to mix aircraft constroction with rx7 parts.

So yes im intrested do you have
1) pictures
2) WIGHT yours vs stock
3) do you have the mounts for power windos

I think your mistaken about what im building.Im making headlight doors Are you asking if the lights will still flip up? and its just the top panel of the light so it might weigh a few grams less im doing more for the look and the ability to have a vent there.

Your thread title is a little miss leading. I also thought you were making carbon doors.LoL

I was confused when you said you were putting vents on the door.

Yeah sorry if it was. I got the idea from an older photo i found on google.
Does anyone actually want a set i think these are going to turn out really nice.

I fixed the thread title.

Also, please note that Fibremaz makes Carbon Headlight covers as well.

The wheel has been invented on this idea. Your only advantage is that you are in the USA, so exporting craziness is a non-issue. Vacuum and bake the CF and offer it in the $100 range and you might be successful...but if you want to sell them here, you're going to have to step up to the table and become a paying Forum Vendor.

Let's see a pic of something you have actually finished and mounted, made of carbon fiber.
