Wow, and I thought the 3 months it took for me to get my 88 Chevy Celebrity painted was bad, this is ridiculous. On the plus side once it is all done and rolling you'll only have to drive it for a few minutes before you fall right back in love with her. Good luck, and I hope she's finished soon.

Cool....glad my ole junk could be of assistance to you!

Kinda why i have not been on this forum much lately...After your car has been gone for almost a year....you kinda forget you even own it!

On the positive side, I am still enjoying my "project cheap autocross"

How in the FU&K can a car that spent its whole life in Arizona now be popping up rust spots??
The other question is how in the *#&$( could they have your car for 11 months and try to give it back to you without fixing the rust??

Why would you think that?? It’s not like they where keeping the car doing quality work, they were giving him the run around. He did get it back and had to put it back in because they didn’t fix the rust on it. This does NOT sound like a reputable shop, the paint job should be decent but any shop that would do this to a customer I would doubt if they put out quality work.

Its so sad. You have had your car for nearly a year and haven't even gotten to post about all your mechanical problems. That is what makes most of us angry, then happy to get it fixed, then angry when something else goes wrong.

I finally lost it towards the owner today...I told him that he has disappointed me more than he could ever realize. I told him I have had feelings of anger, shame, dissapointment and all around feeling like I have been duped...
Told him he should be ashame of himself and that I know a lot of people and they feel as if I am a fool for dealing with him, and feel that he is royally giving me an **** *******.

All he could do is sit there and take it!!! I told him I don't even want the ******* car anymore.....folks seriously I hope that changes, but as noted before....NO, this will NOT be full quality work...It is looking OK, but for 11 months...give me a break.....

At best it will be a compromise....... I have been so duped and anyone who knows me, I don't get duped!!

I will live and learn...

It is sad.....

at least my "project cheap autocrosser" has been keeping me happy!!!

pictures for you guys who have not seen her.... I did body work for 2 days straight and then took her to Maaco for a $250 paint job. Overall, my 2 day paint job is about 90% as good as the one that is taking over 11 months!

they are diamond or diamond like wheels...I did not see an actual brand.

After I learn more about driving, cone setup, etc. I will switch to Hoosier race tires next year. For now I am using Yokohama A008.
