This was a stock replacement paint for my 85 GSL The Turd. Metallic brown. Looked great, especially in the sun. I did 50,000 on that car untill I ran into a buick. I'm still driving the tires, more than 100,000 on those Yokos and still counting.

That's the dilemma, I'm not 100% sure of what I want. I sometimes think I should restore it back to origional color and make the body origional, but add a few toys to the engine, suspension, and some wheels. I haven't found out which brown it was origionally either, though I suspect it is like Ray's. The interior is appart, but most of it is in very good condition- the dash is perfect etc..., so I think going back to brown paint would be best. I like some of the shades of white, and that would go with the brown interior, but other than that not many other colors work without changing the interior as well. That is why I was hoping to see Revvin85's car in person. I haven't ever seen a brown 7 in person that didn't need a repaint, and the pics he has look good. Like I said before, I figure I have only one shot at this, and I want to do it right. I am not concerned about resale, so origionality is not really an issue. I'll never sell it, so I'm going to be looking at it for a long time (Lord willing), and I hope to enjoy the apperance as much as the drive.

Sorry about being so long winded, but this is a very important car to our family.

Ray,
Georgia gets pretty warm in the summer, did the brown feel any warmer than the white? How good are the A.C.'s on these cars?

Opinion - The car I want to restore is a GS with drums in the rear, and I also have a GLS parts car with discs. Can you feel enough of a difference to justify the swap?

here is my se w/85,000. i have had it for 3 months now. i'v redone the exhaust and got the 5&6th ports working, new clutch, along with cleaning and repainting of parts in the engine bay. now she just needs the outside to be redone, and just the door cups replaced to make the inter 99% mint. [the sterring wheel is alittle chipped, and not sure what i'm doing with that yet]
