Too Kind Dave! - but I did run into problems with that first install!
I updated 2nd (and VERY successful!) attempt in:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...=802427&page=2
Elcanito: NO worries about airbags - I left mine in, tho they are disconnected electrically...
Bottom line:
A bit of a hassle but MAN these are great to have!

i do want to mention that with the cloth RX-8 seats you have to be careful with left bolster wear. my RX-8 is an 05 an di have 36K miles on it and i'm noticing some bolster wear on the left bolster. i spoke with the dealer regarding this and it seems that this is an issue with the early 8's. so be gentle if you have the cloth seats. it'll help preserve them.

Noticed that too, Dave
do some pretty wild gyrations to slide into the seat w/o rubbing bolsters too much. bought a new set of spare covers but sort of hoped they won't be needed for 10 yrs or so! Jeez you'd think by 21st century car manufacturers would have figured that one out!!
