Best way EVER to restore fender emblems

Have RX-7, will restore

it was originally a silver "Rx-7" over a black suqare and yes they did stand out on the hatch. At Zoom fest we looke,s all but 3 7s had VERY faded hatch decals. Most of them turn black like the metal around it. Mine turned black and the black metal actually faded to solver, so mine and 1 other 7 had inverted. The last 7 had the proper new looking decal and it was a garage queen.

mom was cleaning out her "crafts" closet and found several huge boxes full of "craft" paint, there were lots of small bottles of paint sorta like the ones used on the scale-model cars and i found a silver one that sorta kinda matched the emblems except w/out the glossiness so i decided to paint them, i think they came out ok i'll try to have some pics of them, it's definitely harder than just putting stickers on it lol, and takes more patience probably...as far as the finish product goes, i believe the stickers will probably look smoother, but from about 3 feet away from the emblem it looks great, except not as shiny lol
as far as the hatch goes, i tried to repaint it, but the hatch surface is so much different that it just ended up smearing and it looked horrible so i grabbed some paint thinner and took it cleaned it up befored i f'd anything else up lol...like i said i'll try to get some pics later

pics... no before pics, but for the most part they were almost black..this one i'm showing had only the outline on the letters basically, and the mazda part was all black
this is the worst of the two, its the first one i did, as you can tell the surface is a bit rough, and you can see where i didn't have my technique down and smired a bit of paint here and there
and this is the same one from about 3 feet away
and this is the stuff i used, (silver one of course)
...now as far as the exact paint color...idk, the bottle i have appears to be slightly metallic but i don't think it has any metallic in it, all the bottle says is "Testors Enamel 1/4fl. oz." lol and the paint is silver like i said i think its used on crafts and on the scale-model cars so i guess we're just gonna have to wait and see how it holds up in the sun and on the road lol, it does seem to be pretty strong since i had to use some real abrasive paint remover to clean it up...so if you do use it make sure you keep some paint thinner and something to wipe off with quickly before it dries
