Anybody find a source for decent 13 inch tires?
Here's a bit of good news on the 13" tire front. I don't know how long it will take for these to become available, but I'll definitely pick up a set.

That is the tire I have on my Honda in the 165/70-10 size which they never stopped making.
I only knew it as Yokohama A008.
Well, um... they sure do wear out fast! Can't really think of anything nice to say about them.

Wise decision. Just look at the sidewall deflection on my 205/50R15 Yokohama S.Drives. Can you imagine a 70 series 13" tire would do with that much grip? These are UHP class while your Star Specs should be a notch stickier since they are EP class. I'm thinking of trying Star Specs next season...it's that or going all in with Toyo R888R.
What are you running for camera setups and how did you get the lap timer to integrate? I'm very interested now. I also just subscribed to your channel
I needed something for my stock rims for rainy days. I decided to try out the Vredestein Sprint Classic. One reviewer on Tire Rack claims they are being used by vintage racing clubs and have been mis-classified. I figure they'll be good all around summer tire and I'll use them for rainy track days. I don't intend to be competitive with them or anything, but anything will be better than semi slicks in the wet.
Tire Rack offers a 185/70R13 and a 205/60R13. I went with the 205 because it was $100 cheaper for the set despite being a wider tire with lower profile. Speedo shouldn't be off by very much. Getting them mounted this week.

Here we go, added some tire paint to the lettering. For the record, these are the 205/60R13 Vredestein Sprint Classic. They look good, at 35 psi they are definitely more squishy than my 15"s but they ride smooth and corner predictably. Check back with me later after I've put some decent miles on them.

Vredestein have another all season with sizes for stock 12a cars. https://www.vredestein.com/car-suv-v.../885-quatrac-5
An update for the Vredestein Sprint Classics. I made the trip down to Deals Gap and back (2,500 miles total), logged a few trips back and forth to work, and had them on the car for a dry track day. I'm running them on Racing Beat springs, front sway bar, and Tokico HP (blue) shocks.
These tires are a good match for the car in stock or slightly modified trim. They are quiet and track perfectly on the highway with nice light steering feel. They send off a rather odd spray pattern in the rain according to those behind me, but I did not experience any hydroplaning. Corner grip in the wet and dry was predictable. I had fun with them on tail of the dragon and did not really feel I needed more grip for the street...but I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable on today's roads with less grip than something like this. I had some old Chinese tires on the rims before and they were atrocious whether it was wet or dry.
On the track was a different story when it came to grip. I'm used to running 205/50R15 tires at the track and even though the Sprint Classics are a 205, they do not have the same contact patch, not even close. The car handled very predictable with neutral handling characteristics. There is a high slip angle so you can saw at the wheel and toss it about in the corners and not worry about the car getting away from you. It's actually quite fun to drive once you get comfortable...but if you are chasing lap times, these are not the tires for you. Your threshold for braking and cornering is very low and if you're on the track with drivers that have 200-300 treadwear tires on wider wheels, they're going to run circles around you. In conclusion...they are super fun, just not super fast.
In conclusion, I'd definitely buy them again. I'm not sure they are going to be a long lasting tire, but I don't put a ton of miles on the car and if I get 3 or 4 years out of them and a few track days, I'll be satisfied and ready for a new set.

the sidewall is taller on the 205/60-13 than the 205/50-15 so more give when hard cornering. and the 15s may even have a softer compound. and that site only shows 15" and 16" for a 205/60.
