Tires

So what does everyone use for tires on their 1st gen? specifically the ones with 14 inch rims? I need a new set, and I'm looking for ideas. I'd like your tire reviews/pics/sizes ect. so I can make a more informed decision. Thanks

Are you looking for performance tires, all around tires, what are your requirements?

For summer / track tires you really can't beat the Falken Azenis 615 though Hankook's RS2 seems to be a pretty good option. Both can be had for around $65.

If you want a decent summer tire that will wear a little better than the Azenis or the Hankooks then look at the Sumitomi HTR200, they run about $45.

In the high performance all season realm, the Fuzion HRi and Sumitomi HTR H4 either for $43, Dunlop SP Sport A2 Plus for $58 and Bridgestone Potenza G009s for $67 - all are good tires.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position for $68 is a good Ultra-High performance all season tire.

For just all season tires, hell, there are dozens...from $35.00 on up. Falken Zies 512s have always performed well and are inexpensive, around $40.

These sites should provide more information for you...

I'm having a hard time finding performance tires in Canada... I don't race my car too much, but I do drag race occassionally... does that help?

Hard time getting performance tires in Canada? We have all the same tire choices as the U.S. You just have to know where to look.

I am running Dunlap Sport A2's on my Se and they handle very nicely. I have used the Dunlap D60 A2's in the past also.

Had 14" Bridgestone Potenzas on Carmen until I re-shod her with the Pirelli P700s.
