Any value in a period correct car alarm?

I have a 1980’s car alarm on my SA. I’m thinking of stripping it out, but before i do, is it likely to change the value if the car in any way by taking it out?

Removing any aftermarket add-on will not decrease the value. Most aftermarket add-ons devalue. With this said, some are tasteful and it really depends on why you have the RX-7. If we owned them as a pure investment, would we really enjoy them?

As far as alarms go, old and period ones are trash and should be removed.

I would remove the wiring from the alarm, but keep the alarm box as a conversation point. I like retro stuff like that.

Would def hang on to it If its working. Certainly, remove it if you like, but hang on to it. Nice little feature for the next Owner to ponder...
