new clifford 5.5x alarm

ive read the product previews and it seems like a great alarm system
the clifford 5.5x has a 1 mile paging range to the pager. unlike the clifford rsx 3.5 i have right now which is garbage since you get no reception after being 100 feet away in a building. i was just wondering if anyone knows the realease date on that alarm.( i know its gonna eat up my wallet)

theres rumors its coming out in june but thats about it

I had a clifford alarm about four years ago. I didn't like it, it was a piece of junk. The remotes didn't work well and the alarm would false alarm all the time. Maybe they've improved some, but if you're having problems with your current alarm, they haven't changed much. I'm really happy with my current Python alarm (from DEI, I think). No false alarms and very reliable with remotes that always work

That is the german link, we will be getting it here soon. Not sure on a price yet. Expecting it to be comparable to the RSX3.5, but no remote start yet.

The 5.5X remote is huge.... it's bigger than my cell phone!

But it does have some cool features. Needs to be way smaller though!

yeah that remote is huge....but all i care about is the fact that it can reach up to a mile
meaning no more of the go into a building nearby and have no more reception. im looking forward to it, but i dont know if ill get it.
the price will probably be way over to be what an alarm is worth

True... compustar tryed to use spread spectrum technology a couple of years ago... never worked that well.... I havn't had a problem with my RSX3.5, I get great distance with it. A lot of the problems associated with remote range can be attributed to incorrect installation.
