Advocating the use of a coolant pressure tester gauge
While waiting for my LSD to ship, I picked up a 02 Silverado from my brother that, needed some work . One of the ailments was a mystery coolant leak. Hence the tool purchase.
while I was at it I thought I’d test the 7. I held pressure for hours, but I discovered a tiny leak on the heater hose line off the radiator. A drip here, a drip there. Nothing that would be noticeable under driving conditions. I also didn’t have the coolant temperature sensor fully screwed in, which was permeating an even smaller leak.
once again I feel that these problems would have never been detected by just driving or observation while idling. These were slow, minuscule leaks. Anyways, consider pressure testing your coolant system.

Words of wisdom Richard, I had a pressure check done on my system a couple of years ago when I was having the cooling system flushed. Knowing how important cooling system is to a rotary engines health, it's good to know if you have any issues lurking around, especially since our vehicles are not getting any younger.
