Actuator boost gauge
Added a digital boost gauge onto my 84 GSL-SE to measure the pressure going to the 5th and 6th port actuators. I have seen it go up to around 3.3 PSI. It is interesting to see at what stage the ports are opening.

Damn, it did start!
that is a great way to have real time data. I assume it reads vacuum as well, so it can be used as a "fuel miser" gauge to help with economy during long trips.
quick tip for checking actuator function. I used a bread tie clip. Placed it on the actuator rod at the base of the shaft. When the rod trained through its motion the bread clip was pushed up the rod.
did this make sense to anyone?

Yes it did Richard, I have also had success putting bearing grease on the actuator rods and after driving observed the portion of the actuator rods without grease on them.

Got to hear the "rev-limit" buzzer at least once per trip!
