Cool thanks! Yes you're right about the leather wheel with that notch. Mine have had that too.

We had 3 trim levels: Limited, Deluxe and Sport. 99% of cars were Limiteds. Limited and Deluxe got the same 3 interior colours but using the chequered cloth/velour pattern like your GS models. In my observations grey and brown are most common, roughly equal, with red less so.

All had leather steering wheel. I've attached a photo of an off black series 3 limited and photos of my steering wheel and horn cap.

The Sport got grey interior only but in plain vinyl trim, bucket seats and urethane steering wheel as shown here: Mazda RX-7 SA22C / 1st Generation (1978 - 1985) - Page 8 - AusRotary
