1979 Electrical/Ignition Issue

The issue is when running the Voltmeter stays on (The Tach is not operation) and 3 of the dash light (Add Coolant, Gen and Add Oil) stay on. The car seems to run fine, but obviously would like to repair it. My 1st guess is in the ignition switch.

Anyone have a similar issue? Anyone with suggestions before I tear into the ignition.

Thanks in advance.

Check the alternator, wiring and grounds. Probably not the switch.

The alternator switches the voltmeter to a tach when the engine is running. It can't hurt to have the alternator tested to ensure its operating correctly. Also, inspect and test the choke and check relay for proper operation.

Mission accomplished, minor issue with the alternator. With out your help I very likely would have dove into the ignition. Thanks to all for the help, the website is awesome.
