VA Electrical Connector / Electrical Pin / Electrical Contact

Here are some links to find various electrical connectors, pins, contacts for the FD. A special thanks for Sgt Fox from the 1st Gen side for the original post.

^ Eastern Beaver

Ballenger Motorsports has a few AMP/Tyco connectors that are found all over the FD. The same holds true for the other sites but can be used on FBs and FCs too.

Another note: I received parts from Ballenger Motorsports and they are exact replacements! Specifically, a pin broke on the front combination light connector. You can also have pig tail connectors made for a modest price too.

yes myself and Sandro tracked down the Tyco part number for the 2 way Econoseal connector. That connector is used on the precontrol and wastegate solenoids. It's also used on the Denso aftermarket boost control solenoid (AVC-R, Profec)

Does anyone know which one is used for the stock IAT sensor? I plan to switch to the fast acting but I'd like to make it OEM.

The fast reacting IAT doesn't really need an OEM fitting. It's just a snip/solder that does NOT require color matching (meaning you can clip and solder it without regards to polarity). Everything you need comes with it. IAT and Connector w/ wire.

I don't see the purpose of tracking down a special OEM plug for this. Sounds like a lot of effort for something that is about as easy as it gets.

It's the same 2-way Tyco/AMP connector used for the PC and WG solenoids mentioned by arghx above. BMotorsport recently stocked them (both male and female). Or, you can buy the IAT fast sensor from Dudemaaanownsanrx7 (Brent Vogl) complete with pigtail and correct connector.

BMotorstock also has the 3-way Tyco/AMP connectors used e.g.for the MAP sensor. I got them to connect an extra MAP sensor I will use to log compressor/WG pressure.

Hmm. I guess it is the same, I didn't realize.

On my FC, the factory IAT sensor uses two spade connectors. So I just crimped two spades on to the Triumph IAT sensor plug pigtail (same as old Bosch EV1 injector connector) and didn't have to cut anything.

Sometimes you just don't want to cut factory wires.

I agree, it took a while to search for the right connectors.

Any Mods care to turn this into a sticky?
