I have a new 1/8 mile time. 9.03@77mph with a 2.1 60'. Sounds like my car and peejay would be a really good race. I ran that time on the stock gears though. Since then I have put the GSL-SE 4.08 gears in. Hoping that will make the difference. I really wish there was a 1/4mile track close by. I dont even know if Ill be able to make it back to the 1/8 this year.

Good NA run though peejay. Its nice to see another NA out there that will probably break into the 13s for sure with some traction.

13s will be in the bag as soon as I ditch the throttle body. I have seen as low as 85KPa at full throttle and high RPM. That's roughly 3-4" of vacuum! Atmosphere is normally 95KPa here.

Ideally I'd like an IPRA style intake manifold, but I will "settle" for a Holley 750-based throttle body with a suitably ported Holley style manifold. For now, I have a 75mm throttle body setup in the works, but first I must upgrade the fuel injectors. And buy some green Rolocs so I can finish cleaning up the plenum.

Oh and I killed another rearend.

I went again last week.

On this first run I left the line at 2000rpm riding clutch and fed it throttle, normal tidy shifts and reved 4th gear to 8000+rpm as I crossed line (this rpm is above my peak power). Start didn't bog but you can see it was lazy.

60' 2.410
330' 6.160
1/8 9.096
MPH 84.00
KPH 135.19
1000' 11.576
1/4 13.645
MPH 109.20
KPH 175.74

and

On the 2nd run I left the line from 4000ish rpm riding clutch, not lots of throttle again. I didn't want a repeat incident of a snapped and twisted axle. Because the run felt so tidy I decided to flat change from 3rd to 4th gear, and then I decided I would see what happened to trap speed if I changed into 5th at end of peak power. I did the 4-5 change foot pretty much flat to floor again and still lost 3mph. Interestingly I was 1.17mph down at the 1/8th track even tho this run had a faster 60ft so I'm wondering if I hit a bad cell in tune and the car bogged.

Even in 5th gear I crossed the line at 6500rpm.

60' 2.355
330' 6.150
1/8 9.154
MPH 82.83
KPH 133.30
1000' 11.696
1/4 13.839
MPH 106.07
KPH 170.70

Both of those with no burnouts and conservative takeoffs. Mostly I wanted to see what it would trap.

Basically I realise I need either 4.1's or a taller tyre. I think I should get a better diff with 4.1's in it and worry about a slightly taller tyre when I have more HP. Seeing as the cars PB is still 13.362@103 with a 2.15sec 60ft I know I can get into the 12.99 bracket without more HP just with a stronger driveline.

Also sometimes when I'm racing (street) I bake the clutch by accident and it slips. So Really its coming back to the whole driveline needing an overhaul. 4.1 toyota hilux rear end with torsen or clutch LSD and a s5 turbo gearbox with a better clutch money I don't have at the moment

My 1982 GSL is 2575 lb with me and a full tank of fuel (I weigh roughly 230lb)

This is with some stuff removed but full interior, stereo, turbo, 3" exhaust, 50lb battery in the trunk.

Removed air con, air pump, all emissions.

We have FC's over here trapping 125MPH on 15psi with that engine and turbo combo. Your tune must be VERY conservative. 12.3 is hardly a SLOW pass and this car has A LOT of potential left in it.

I ran a 9.2 in the 1/8mile

chevy 305 TransAm T5 Tranny, GSL LSD
Hankook rs-2 225/45
That was starting in 2nd gear (no traction to be found in first) so I had a 2.58 60ft (Bogged after launch)

Hey all.

I went an 11.21 at 126.28 MPH on T67 at 19 psi. The car was sitting on 26 by 10.5 ET streets. Car has much more in it, as I was lift shifting. 10 second pass is coming soon! Had a 1.62 60 ft.

Major mods:

T67 at 19 psi
E6K
8.8 ford rear with 4.88's
REW street port
ET streets

Not a quicker time, similar but now trapping a bit higher MPH:

Reaction - .2459
60 ft - 2.2521
330 ft - 6.2139
1/8 ET - 9.5250
1/8 MPH - 73.78
1/4 ET - 14.6781
1/4 MPH - 94.50

Hopefully when I do all my air cooling mod next year I'd get close to 100mph.

I also forgot to tell you that I raced it with a cracked seal. It had 80-30-30 compression in the rear rotor. So 11.21 with a hurt engine .
