(REFERENCE) 80 to 81 interchangable parts

I have an 80 Sa and am wondering if the 81 FB parts can be used on it. front and rear springs, the entire rear axel setup, gastank. Both cars have the 12a.

the front and rear suspension can be used on the SA. the gas tank cannot. the radiators and oil coolers interchange. there are more but i cannoth think of any more major mechanical parts that are identical.

you could take the rear end from an 83-85 but u will need the 83-85 driveshaft to go w/ it, the flange for the diff changed in 83. keep the radiator and oil cooler cause they're better than the 83-85 style. the springs and suspension bits are interchangeable, but as said before the gas tanks are not. it would also be adviseable to use the full ignition system (coils, wiring and distributor) from the 82-85 for ease of maintainance and reliability, as they switched from a points style distributor to a full electronic style

Most of interiors swap out too except center console pieces (diff shape due to diff tranny)
All body panels except fr fenders, bumpers (unless you wanted to "upgrade")
