Hmm, I wonder why the series 4 were 17/24 rather than 16/24 of the series 5?
and emissions are better as well for both N/A and turbo series 4 cars.
Maybe that "extra" HP and efficency of the series 5 cars, is just a little more fuel in the combustion.

My MPG has been even crappier than that. I am not complaining though. I guess those numbers are for ppl who try to keep their rpms below 3000 (imo very difficult to do).
My car is LUCKY to get 12MPG in city. My average MPG is 9-10. Ive replaced O2 and Fuel filter, no ecu codes either, car runs Great!!! Just thirsty, hmm maybe all those flames are taking up my mpg.

You should check more into this. Your gas mileage is flat out ridiculous. I get 15MPG in my Trans AM, and guys that put a 383/396 Stroker in there get 10MPG. I bet my cousin's 72' Buick Electra 225 (7.4L, 455 C.I.D.) gets better gas mileage.
Hell, a 2002 Lamborghini Murcielago gets 8-10MPG.
So replace your spark plugs more often or something, there's got to more to it than that. Don't be satisfied with that type of mileage cause the car's running good, you could get a mod or two once you solve this problem. Cause you would have saved like $200 worth of gas per year.
my spark plugs and plug wires are brand spanking new... 16mpg is about right for turbo FCs... i wish i could get more mpg but i'm pretty much at what its suppose to untless i teach my foot that gas money is more important then fun....
i also heard that if you put some CDI boxes in, it helps with mpg... not sure thiough.
