Need wiring info coolant buzzer

OK I have read and read the past posts regarding this issue. My engine was recently rebuilt and ever since the coolant buzzer goes off constantly. The sensor is new, the coolant is full. No air. I have read about a wire connector behind the power steering pump. I believe I found the wire however I have a question regarding the color of the wires. One wire is brown/ white as it says on the wiring diagram. The one mine is connected to is red/black. I think this might be the wrong wire as the diagram only shows brown/white in that circuit. Can some folks look at theirs and let me know. It's a 94

Hm, do you have p/s? I seem to remember that it's a simple thin black wire with a large black spade connector on it. I think it can be mixed up and plugged into the p/s pump, not positive....

Yes I have PS. There is also wiring going to AC compressor near there. My wires are the brown/white (matches wiring diagram) connected to red/black wire (couldn't find on wiring diagram for coolant buzzer

Actually they get mixed with the A/C connections. Make sure that you didn't mix the two black connectors (buzzer) and the two white connectors (A/C). If they are connected properly then try grounding the wire going to the low coolant sensor, if it turns off then the sensor is bad or you have low coolant.

Sounds to me like you have your coolant level signal wire that goes toward the dash plugged into the clutch on the AC compressor. Somewhere back toward the front top of your engine is a black wire single connector from the coolant switch that it is supposed to plug into. Better do some checking.

So the white connectors go together and the black connectors together. That might help. I will look into it more today. KInda hard to see down there and the wires are all pretty short.

Well I fixed it. Thanks for the help guys. The builder did swap the two wires. Now no more buzzer. YAY! White to white. Black to black. Idoesn't get any easier than that.

Well no. My condensor and lines have to be reworked after my v mount install. But it is cooler now so no problem yet.

so i think im having the same issue i think but some one cut and hacked my harness so if someone could tell me the correct color wire thats supposed to go to the coolant buzzer that would be much appriciated. i dont need info on the ac wire because i dont have ac on my car. thanks.

Should be a single wire with a spade type connector. If I recall its black with a red tracer but its 1am and I am exhausted. It connects between the engine harness and battery/starter/alternator harness around the power steering area. Often the connector gets stuck under the ps pump or by the oil filler neck.

alright ill take a look tommorrow when i have light. i hate dealing with this old crusty *** engine harness i just cringe anytime i have to move wires around hoping nothing breaks. thanks

ya i want to but due to this bad economy i have no job so comin up with the money to get a new one is kinda out of the picture for now. and i just spent all the money i had to get the car running again and its still not running well enough yet to drive.

There are only two connectors down there. Two white and two black. make sure they are matched white to white and black to black.

Just behind the PS pump and near the front plugs

so i looked for it yesterday and cannot seem to find this plug or wire on my harness and i kno it was there before i pulled the motor but im not sure if it broke off and went bye bye. but if someone could possibly send me a picture of were the wire comes out of the harness at that would be much appreciated. that way i kno if mine broke off. thanks

No more hand holding...You don't need a picture, just your shop manual, a piece of 14 gauge wire and solder. Go to page Z-44. See the Coolant level sensor there. Ok then run you a new wire from the sensor connector C1-07 on across the engine, and up to X-12 on the driver fender. Forget about the other wire/connector. Splice into the BR/W wire there at X-12 and you should be good to go

Wo - don't have a manual - then you are doomed to listening to a high pitched squeel of the buzzer going off forever and ever....the above instructions are so simple a caveman could do it.

Yes, This effort will effect a proper repair and restore the system as it is intended to operate. The buzzer will silence and ONLY sound out if your coolant level is below the normal level. Kodus to the Mazda team for putting in on our beloved FD.

Run the wire and report back.

that worked. shut the buzzer up and was simple to do. hardest part was figuring out what the blurry FSM was pointing to for x-12 but they r the gray plugs that r right by the battery. thanks for all the help and saving me from headaches in the future.
