removed dash, deleted heater core, now no radio or speedo

i removed the dash properly to delete my heater core, wiper motor with wiper arms and the rest of the A/C stuff since i dont need it anymore, now my radio or anything on the gauge cluster does not operate at all. everything was hooked up properly, all my fuses are good, and now i cannot figure out what i did wrong.

the only thing i can thing of, since i completely unclipped the AC/heater wire harness, kind of a connection that needs to be there? i also removed the Clairion box as well from the armrest, assuming it was part of the stock radio, is that important?

TTT! I am removing my heat and A/C and want to make sure I don't have to keep any of the electrical connections on either the heat box or A/C box. Thanks in advance.

Check your ground points. There are 2 for the dash panel and 2 for the instrument panel...both sets are common grounds that run through A/C/heater wire harness.

Find your grounds and you should be able to get back to business.

Here's some advice. Don't do it. I don't care how much you think it's going to help in terms of weight savings, it's not worth it. If you ever go sell the car it's only going to decrease its value further, and if you ever want to put it back in it's only going to create headaches. Unless you're totally stripping the car and putting a full cage in for dedicated track racing only, I'd leave it in.

I was temporarily removing it until I get a new heater core. It isn't for performance and I'm never (Lord-willing) going to sell the car. So I could care less about the resale. That's unfortunate that you both think I should keep them in there...I was hoping to save time, which I don't have a lot of (car needs to be moved by tonight).

doubt check the connectors.. there is a harness on the dash support bar that maybe you have missed? that would be my guess... i dont believe cutting the wires would effect other components unless they were tied into it (doubt it) just mt .02
