RHD FD!!!
Welcome to the club. You'll be able to get some ideas when we meet up in person. More than a few FD's around with some nice equipment under the hood along with exterior enhancements.

Other "active" London people include myself with a TII, The Aaron Cake with his eternal turbo-n/a project, Tyson with his in progress peripheral port FD and Trish who has a FC.

If you want to meet up with some other rotary fans, then come check out our new shop on May 5th. It seems like there will be alot of members coming for the BBQ.

The thing that's great about some random junkyard 350 is that they make very little power. As they said on top gear refering to a '88 Camero (170hp), it's amazing they were able to make so little power out of such a big engine. The weight thing is overstated, but why have an engine that weighs twice as much and is within easy limits of a stock internals/turbo rotary (I would call that somewhere around 250hp for the S4-5)? That said, I would never look down upon anyone who went with a LSx (but no carb conversions!).
Hey sorry it took so long for me to post back I went up to my cottage for a few days. I live in lambeth currently. My mom and I are in the process of getting ready to sell the house so I have no idea where we will end up in london don't much care so long as I have a garage to put the car. And yeah I would love to have an area rx7 meet sometime soon. Its not a 99 its got the 99+ front end conversion. Its actually a 92. The canadian laws prohibit importing a car thats under 15 years old unless your the first owner so. But this one was in excellent condition and I got a stellar deal so I am super excited. I should be picking it up from toronto this week. just trying to get the immisions test done. It turns out the grey market vin it gets when its imported gets it e tested as a 4 cylnder 1.3 liter so obviously it fails and i need to get a conditional pass or find someone who knows fds. A north american vin gets them tested as a 12 cylinder 1.3 liter twin turbo so flames coming out the back pass. (guy who I have importing it for me explained this) So we are still working on making it fully street legal.
Once I get her in town what do we usually meet for. Is it just a show and shine do we hit the movies what is the standard for area RX7 owners.
Thanks for the support and posts guys

I knew that particular joy, once, about 5 years ago. A baker at Tim Hortons (he had another job, and made decent wage), in Tottenham ON (hick town 45 min N of T.O) I bugged and bugged him to let me take his Black 93 R1 for a spin. One day I was leaving work and throwing a bag in the dumpster and he rolled in, asked me if I was done, and two minutes later we were rolling down the street, I was trying to take it easy, but on the drive back to town we got stuck behind 3 cars. Naturally in an FD, it's hard to drive anywhere near the speed limit, so once we hit a good straight, I pushed and swept out around them all, hit 170, shifting early. Not once did I hit the turbos full on. I regret that, because I probably would be even more in love with the FD, but again, not my car. My FB is only to tide me over til I can afford one. Of course that little burst of speed gave him a bit of a scare, but IMO, it was worth it for love. I hope you enjoy your ride as much as I enjoyed his, and I'll be buggin you to let me give her a shot, to spark my memories of my first run in an FD. Whether your willing to let me or not is another story, but there's always a case of beer in it for ya. Have fun. Welcome to the beginning of the end of your wallet.

I friggin hate the ministry of transportation. They decided they need another third party review of the car ( I think this means dounts in the parking lot) so they are holding my car another week now two + weeks late. On the bright side i got to go up and visit again on tuesday and take her for another spin god rotary makes you feel alive. Not even pushing it past the speed limit of 80 and it just feels so frigging good. Mind you the fact that people kept pulling over to watch me pass and a couple skyline owners called it liquid sex and offered a trade didn't feel to shabby either lol
Side note for orion once I finally get her in I will msg you and we can go out driving one night maybe hit the sparta track.
