All London people need to be aware of a car show that takes place every Tuesday night. Wortley Village Cruise Night happens from about mid May until sometime in October, every Tuesday night, along Wortley road in the Village. There's no cost to attend and/or show your car, though donations to the charity they support (I forget which one now) is certainly appreciated. On good nights there could be 50 cars lining the streets all the way from Elmwood (including the parking lot) to Askin (2 large blocks).

I've shown the Insight a bunch of times and it's always fun. With my RX-7 mobile in the next month or so I was hoping to arrange some other RX-7s into the show as well. There's only been one so far, and it's a (somewhat basic) V8 conversion!

It would be great if we could set up a mini-meet on a Tuesday night and show up with 5 RX-7s. Especially of all different generations.

I would be down with doing something like that ... tuesday nights aren't that busy for me.

PS: Aaron that was me that yelled your name out on thursday off wellington road. I was in my buddies goldish car.

Hopefully I will be able to come next tuesday 22nd. What time does it start at end at ect.

I say hopefully because I keep getting held up by the ministry of transportation sense its JDM. I finally told them that I was gonna pick it up Thursday weather they were letting me take it or not. so with any luck they will speed the hell up and get me my keys.

Oh I forgot to mention durning this whole being held up process a photographer saw my car in the lot and asked them if he could shoot it. I am a little upset that I wasn't able to be there and get a picture of my baby and me but what can you do. The photographer had some of his own models male and female to pose with it. Don't get tooo excited these are by no means H.I.N models lol.

I'll try to stop by, but without the RX-7. I probably won't have the new turbo manifold and related piping (intercooler, downpipe, etc.) done before then....

I'm not sure there's really an "everyone" yet. suijen2 will be there with his RX-7, and I'm going to most likely drop by in the Insight just by virtue of the fact that I just steam cleaned the interior and I only live 3 blocks away.

I'm planning to be there probaby before 7PM but I don't exactly know when.

Hey me and suijen2 met up tonight at the meet in wortly. It looks like we got there a bit late and didnt end up getting on the street. Next tuesday around 6 I am planning on going back I think suijen might be coming too. We are hoping to meet up in/near the wortley road house parking lot. Get a punch of RX togeather. I hope to see everyone there on tuesday.

Good Luck on getting your turbo finished Aaron. Hope you'll be up and running on tuesday

I'm a bit disappointed in the show. I showed up shortly after 5PM with the Insight and was told that there was now an age restriction of '76 and older due to the number of cars. They had already made too many exceptions that night (there was a bone stock Miata...how exciting....some newer Porsches and some late model mini-trucks) and I would have to show my car in the parking lot. Now not to be a Prima Donna or anything, but there was no way I was going to park my car on the dirt parking lot after spending all of Saturday and 2 hours on Monday detailing it. So I went home and then walked back to the show. In a way it's sort of their loss because the Insight has always been the post popular car there. More people stop to talk to me about the Insight and take a detailed look then any other car there (including a Cobra replica, several Vipers, etc. etc.).

Long story short I walked back to the show to have a few burgers and take a look at the cars that were accepted. Was there until just before or just after 7PM, then went home to work on my intercooler piping.

My suspicion is that if a bunch of RX-7 owners showed up (especially all at once) they would let them into the show. I asked about my car and they said that it would be no problem having an '86 RX-7. Not sure what that means for FDs though. Later in the year we should all meet up at a specific location (my house is only blocks away) and then drive down to the show together.

There's really no chance of getting my RX-7 there next week. Even if I do manage to get the wastegate plumbing, new downpipe and new intercooler piping done on the weekend, the manifold still has to go to the machine shop to have the flanges flattened (they warped a LOT when welding). Then the manifold has to be coated, and I still need to get some real tires....

I like your idea of meeting up. Mind you I know the feeling of not having the car running too well. Sway bars are being shipped in ones cracked tires are bald ect ect ect lol. the fix is the best part

well my new clutch is finally on its way to me. took me longer then i had wanted to get it in the mail. I paid an unreasonable ammount to get it shipped here as quick as possible so if I am lucky I could be driving this weekend but unlikly.

And unlikly comes true do to border patrol. The new clutch is being held at the border incase it doubles as an ICBM? maybe i dont actually know why but It looks like I will miss another week at the wortley night. Come hell or high water I plan on driving out to the westmount on this thursday.
