2-rotor rev to 14k RPM?>>>

Ok, can someone please show me pics, videos, specs, dyno's or anything of a rotary revving to 14k (or 12k, whatever) RPM.

I'm guessing you need:

Hardened stationary gears, new oil pump, new water pump, expanded chambers, nice big port...

What am I missing? Just curious for a future "fun" car, maybe....

Oh yeah, this is N/A.. I know reliability would suffer, but to what degree, etc...

Any info would be appreciated, thanks

Boris

Do you just mean a lightwegith flywheel? Also, I'd probably need that shield too, right? So I don't kill myself?

Uhmm... actually why would it belong in the lounge if I'm specifically about 2ng gen (N/A), and this has nothing to do w/BMWs. You're just jelous your engine can't rev to 14k rpm :P

Besides, weren't you watching a movie??!?!

webbers of haltec or motech, and this Guru Lightened Engine Kit from http://www.gurumotorsports.com/ and side clerencing and a BP, if you do this RUN PRE-MIX and thick too. I know some ppl who have a BP motor with 100,000km *I think that is like 70,000 miles*

at 14k, unless you have a big BP or a PP you're WAAAAY out of your powerband... so why would you even want to?

If you're still dead-set on it, lightened rotors, lightweight flywheel, and a transmission that can handle 14K wouldn't hurt as well.

If I were to make an engine like that, I would use specially lightened 12a rotors, Hard as a ***** gears, eshaft, bearings, and everything else.

Huge bridgeport and an engine which idles at 3k rpms.

12a rotors won't work in a 13b. The 13b rotor housings are wider than 12a housings. Plus, 12a rotors have 3mm apex grooves, lower compression, and weigh more to start with.
