Furb: RX-7 FC

my life's story:

The RX was for sale at a rotary specialist here in Holland in 2005.
completely stock and had only run 9200km after rebuild.
i was sold pretty soon and it didnt take long for me to take it home!

after about a year i got into modifying it: coilovers, brakes and wheels.
after that, the bodykit went on and it went to the bodyshop for a full respray.

another year later it was time to get some more juice out of the 13B!
decided to clear the entire engine bay so i could work on all the details. i looked at every part and if nescesairy, modified, replaced or relocated.
removed A/C, ABS, Power steering. relocated battery and alternator and dressed up the engine with lots of aftermarket goodies.
at that time, i got the car back to the bodyshop to get the engine bay painted.

to cope with the power, the brakes needed another upgrade, 330mm K-sport

then on to the dyno for mapping, wich all didnt go as hoped, but in the end i reached 305hp and 440nm at the flywheel.

ofcourse, i wasn't done with the car..
another year later i had some more big plans!
i got hold of a brand new S4 gearbox, and decided on some more stuff,
ACT prolite flywheel, FD torsen LSD, FD UIM, FD throttle body, KG parts fuel rails and an Apexi PowerFC instead of mapping the stock ECU again.
that meant i had to modify the trailing coil and wiring loom too.

had noticed before, but now it became really clear i had some cooling issues, especially regarding oil temps.
i put on a fluidyne 25x30x5cm oil cooler and made a special airtunnel to get maximum effect on oil and water.
i also included ducts for brake cooling, i now have a noticable increase in braking power and durability
also to help engine bay temps, i fitted a shine-auto-project "sexy-style" hood

car was mapped on the new ECU by RE-Worx in the UK

power was nearly the same as before, but now it was far more smooth and throttle response is just insane!

only now it became very clear the stock turbo cant keep up, because boost drops like mad after 5500rpm.

that's why i was thinking about going for a BNR stage 4 upgrade, plug and play for a descent price and a big 100+hp gain.

Furb, amazing FC. It has been my background multiple times. You did such a great job with everything, making sure everything was upgraded correctly the first time, and making such a sexy machine.

I might have missed it but what PSI are you at the make what horsepower?
