I have not received any overseas emails from the UK as of late. Please PM me your info so I can see where on the list your located. We have had some back order issues on some turbo related parts but that seems to be working itself out finally.

Hello everyone. I have a strange question, I just bought a turbo that was supposed to be an A-Spec GT35R but after looking around and researching I found out that the housings it has seem to be from a TO4Z ( Compressor .70 a/r and turbine 1.00 a/r ) and look exactly like the ones I see on this post:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-rx-7-1993-2002-parts-99/fs-18-gramlight-57-pros-new-t04z-turbo-powerfc-commander-fp-misc-items-786364/
Now, the CHRA seem to be the GT35R one because of the number on the plate: 714568-5002.
So the question is: Is there a way to make the housings work with that CHRA? Because the turbine and compressor wheels are supposed to be different diameter on both models.
They look like they fit very well in my turbo.
I may be overlooking something so please let me know if I am wrong or if there is an explanation for it.
Thank you very much for your help...
Leo

Hey Sean is there an extra cost on a T4 RHD kit? I would be super happy if you have a picture of it in a RHD JDM FD.

Yes, approx. 6-8 weeks right now. The biggest determining factor is our suppliers. There has been a major fluctuation with how quickly Garrett, Tial, stainless suppliers, machine shop, etc. have been able to get us our product. It is unfortunate, but, out of our control for the most part.

With that being said, we try our hardest to get these kits out asap. We have seen kits leave anywhere from 4-9+ weeks after receiving deposit depending on whether or not there has been a hold up with suppliers, if the kit was ceramic coated(adds 1 week), etc.

If you have any other questions feel free to send us a PM or e-mail. Thanks

There is no extra cost. The RHD kit is the same price as the LHD.

A-spec kits are well worth the wait.

Are you still doing the military discount on your kits? If so (or not) how much for a GT35R T4 on an FD?

I plan on keeping stock ports with my rebuild. What are the advanges of T3 over T4 or visa versa. I dont plan on going past 15 psi maybe not even up to.

T3 three wont really offer much advantages. In some circumstances it may spool better in most it wont be noticeable over the T4 .84 divided in many instances. It also limits growth down the road. ie when you get bored later and want more. Your stuck in the T3 unless you buy a new manifold rework your Dp etc. I would look at a smallish T4 before a T3

These are going to all be good options, 35R divided T4, GT3574, GT3574R. All will get you good power and quick response. All are extremely similar in performance with the bush bearing GT3574 being least responsive. All will get you mid 400's with nice response. The 3574 will make a bit more peak power under most circumstances and all things being equal due to the larger turbine.

Got me there. I like the look of the new short runners with the divided t4 (at least I 'think' that's what those first pics were.)

I will be sending that part out to you to test for fitment early next week. If it works with the RA omp adapter and the xcessive lim combined, then I will be sending my deposit.

What is the max boost on the GT35R T3 with .82 A/R using stock injectors(3rd gen)? Would the turbo be efficient at that boost level? FWIW, my mods are M2 intake, M2 large IC, PFC, HKS twin power amp, DP, hi-flow cat, catback.

Thanks!

While I'm sure 'somebody' on this board could provide you with an answer, it is not recommended at all. We have little to no experience running a single on factory injectors so it would be hard to give you an answer as to what boost level would be appropriate. At minimum, I would recommend upgrading your secondaries to 1300's or better yet, 1680's (requires new rail). Also, with boost levels low enough to work with the factory injectors, you likely would not see much benefit going single. The main benefit you would see at that point would be a nice, simple set-up as opposed to the troublesome twins. Feel free to contact me at ryan@a-spec.com if you have any other questions or want to discuss your options.
