Agreed on Cheryl's 82 GSL and the red SA, awesome cars both.

Tim, what is most remarkable is that the beer you have in your hand in most of the pictures is almost always empty!

And good beer it was, indeed.

^ I agree, the FB is a lot of fun for a small car that doesn't have huge power and tq. It's super ez to work on to. I pulled my engine out in about an hour last Tuesday after work, cleaned all the parts Weds - Sat afternoon, painted the engine, built and had it installed Sat night and drove home Sunday.

Next up is install energy suspension up front. I recently installed idler arm and man it made the steering feel so much better.

the fb I got has fairly new suspension, it handles really well, I have to put a shifter spring in it and I have done some research and some say the trans has to come and some say it can be done in the car. Have you replaced it yet?

Oh god. If you really want a supra that bad, buy a supra. Don't ruin a good fb for this.

That one was for sale in Gainesville for a long, long time. I drove by it once a month, sitting in the same spot for nearly a year.

Very nice car.

And it has the same "red dot" seat inserts my car came with. I've not seem too many of those!

Some of these nice cars make me wish I could win the lottery.

Almost bought a 80 SA the other night in Winder. Drove all the way there when the owner gave me the address, when I got there, he had the hood up and it appeared he had been working on it. As I pulled in, he turned off his porch light, but left the floodlights by the car on. Called and texted him several times and attempted to knock on his door to no avail. One look in the engine bay and it was clear that someone had from what I could tell, attempted to make their own wiring harness, using an assortment of red wiring. Would have been a fun car to restore to former glory, but I couldn't get a hold of the owner again. Hopped back in my car, cranked her up, and received a text that read "hey man, just sold it to somebody". That's the first run in I have had with a less than classy Rx owner. Oh well, there will be more.

You don't want to buy that black SA over in Winder Cameron, everything about it smells.

Besides, if it were any good, Gene would have already snagged it.

And now, for something completely different....

http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/open-classifieds/lifted-1991-brg-miata/101287/page1/#post1795105

Local and just different enough to be interesting.

...and now back to your regularly scheduled programing.

Yeah ray, that's kinda what I was thinking.

As for the Miata, I kinda hate it. But I kinda love it too.

I see that a lot of the OGTA guys/gals live in Cumming... Do any of you like the occasional cigar? I'm an avid cigar smoker and there's a great cigar lounge in Cumming. I thought it would be cool to meet up there and talk rotary and smoke a cigar.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

The Shrinking Kilt parking lot makes a very nice cigar smoking lounge. It's been done plenty of times before.
