Thanks RX-heven! I've seen that 3d Video before but I just assumed that it has the omp port built in... I'm still wanting to use the OMP... but if not, I guess pre-mix it is!

I'm also interested in what Crispeed has to say about using the mop assembly port as oil return line for the turbo..

Apparently this guy claims to have used a TII front cover with Mazdas internal dry-sump pump setup. If so, he can plumb the oil return line into the stock location and still use the mop, just like you want to. However, I have my doubts about this sO I asked him about it.

I referred him to this thread too.

I am a strict believer in pre-mixing.

Mazda Motorsports has a good QTime 3D video of the front cover. There is a link within the link below.

Here is a pic of mine.

My original question to Crispeed and frode regards plumbing the oil return line into the location where the mop assembly was. Do you think that would be high enough to avoid any drainage issues with the flat bottom?
It might be. Our turbos were to low to use that area.
In the pic I believe the extra scavenge port is where the little aluminum plug is. I have not looked at the front cover in some time so I might be wrong. Have to double check.
I believe the main reason for not doing it was that the motor had been allready installed and running for some time so no one wanted to take the chance of drilling and tapping that section of the pump due to the chance of metal contamination.

You know you can always just go to the "Thread Tools" drop down menu at the top of the thread, and click on "Subscribe to this thread" w/o having to post in it, right?

That engine bay leaves me speechless. As much as I'd like to say its just time and money I wish I just had the talent.
