I recommend a light flywheel unless drag racing is your highest priority for the car (in that case, stay stock). Search if you want to read all about light flywheels.

Run synthetic after the rebuild (unless someone has "break-in on dino oil, then switch to synth" recommendations). It would be a good opportunity to change the oil in the rear end, too. See the owner's manual for weights and GL ratings. You don't need any special additives for the diff.

Depending on what type of driving you do, I'd recommend a new (shorter) 5th gear. I have a 0.806:1 which is really nice for a "power 5th" gear. Makes the car feel like a 6 speed but without the 6th gear

I have all the part numbers, PM me if you need them.

ACT Street/Strip. Depends on your budget and what mods you have, but a nice mid weight flywheel would be a nice addition. I have the ACT Sreet/Strip. Also replace the throw out bearing obviously and change the tranny oil to some Redline MTL.

Be sure to change the pilot bearing. Inspect the shift fork closely for cracks.

Check the rear engine seal for leaks.

i believe the 93 trannys had a sring that was changed in the other years which helped prevent the 5th syncro from going. anyone remember what this was called again.

Shift spindle select spring. In the tailshaft housing.

Inspect/replace any shift fork lock springs/***** if the car is jumping out of gear.

thanks guys for all the great input...i'm sure rick at Rick's Rotary Performance knows about all these things...he's the one handling my car at the moment, he's a great guy and knows his stuff. i was thinking about gettin the ACT street/strip clutch but wasn't too sure about the flywheel. is 9.5lbs too light for a daily driver and semi occassional track/strip days?

Germ

ps: does anyone know of any places to get a good deal on these things?
