Good to hear from you again CrackHeadMel !!

The software is out into the dealers but it still needs more work. I have had a look(by invitation) at the software and it has some great features. I have passed on some feedback and my opinion on how to improve the software. The rest is up to Wolf but it looks really good! There are some functional problems but they are quickly being worked out. At the moment I am back to my old software until I get another update to look at.
Also a patched verison of my logger is at http://www.angelfire.com/wizard/freqgengui/
Just for fun.
Cheers

The reason the new software is not out yet..... Is because we want to get all the glitches out and we dont want any blown motors.... if you have any questions feel free to call the shop ... I would love to talk to you about any questions you have ... the shop # is (916) 729~5554 which is the # to Wolf EMS USA or fax us with any questions you have to fax # (916) 218~7976

I agee with Chris here.....for programmers it is a sport if it trashes your computer well so be it. If it trashes your car I guess you wouldn't be happy. The basic functions except one work well. Only one function which happens to be while you are online with your ECU doesn't and has the potential to rewite your map. If you run with a map full of garbage you will end up with a pile of hot metal on the floor....well we all have our big software files out to round off the edges .

I actually havn't got right into the logging yet just sorting the basic functions first. I will then work on breaking other functions. If I can't break it then its working ok.

I have tried out a revised version of Wolf Software and it is much better I have identified a few problems but it is getting way cool. I had my first go at the logging and it looks very good.
Now it is not going to be next week OK...but it IS much better than the old software at this point as far as features that are currently working 100% My guess is another couple of passes through the mill will make this very slick indeed. I would like to thank the programmer who is writing the software for taking on board mine and others suggestions, it seems to be making big steps every time.

Cheers

I had reconnected to the ECU 5 times and on the 6th time My laptop done a core dump "blue srceen of death" and never started again!!! Waiting for my laptop to be rebuilt. I am too busy to do it myself.

latest 4.72 It has more to be done but it is much better already then the old V4 software but it needs to be more stable.

1.5 I don't think this problem has been addressed yet though. So for anyone testing the 4.72 software do not connect and disconnect your ECU with the software running more than 4 times or your laptop might end up like mine. Who knows until I recreate the situation again well I won't know 100% . I get my laptop back this week... I hope. 1.6 may not be a problem though and I will be trying it on the 1.6 software to see if it breaks my machine. Thats what testing is all about seeing if you can break it

Cheers

Ok, keep us posted! I knew there is a 1.6 version and would like to know if it is error free so that we can have some idea of release date.

In 1.5 the logging has been fixed and works but you don't really have the data I would like to see but I like all the data displayed. I still think that if I could hack into my handset and patch the data through to the laptop I would have compensated AFR readings. If Wolf made a modified handset with a comms port well that would be great too! This would get around the problem that exists with the afr resolution and when the sensor is cold you can get good reading to tune cold starts. This is often the most painfull of tuning problems.

Cheers
