nvt - how much success have you had with the Wolf running closed loop? I've been playing with mine for a few months and it never seems to be that stable.

I setup staging. No need for closed loop now. I tuned it to just run at the right a/f ratio now since only the primaries fire before 4k rpm.

I'll post a map with a nice staging setup after another day or 2 of tuning.

staging at 4k rpm to 80% of the secondaries

secondaries will only fire at 100% at 86% load and above past 4k rpm.

same setup, walbro pump, 1680 secondaries, gt40. this should be good to like 20 psi, need to datalog/tune more.

its no leaner than 12:1 and no richer than 10:1.

at 10psi its almost exactly 11:1 the whole way. ill be working on it more. updates will be posted to anyone who cares.. dont think there is anyone, but *shrug* its a place to keep track of my **** at least.

Actually, I have been viewing your maps with the V4 software...just like to compare and play with it.

The Wolf has come a long way since my version 3

yeah. the staging is nice.. load and rpm based... i was havin some fun with that.. i have so much extra fuel in this injector setup as you see... the walbro seems to be doing a good job of flowing it too.. I just made some more updates to my map, but apparently im maxing out my air filter because boost is dropping from 18 psi at 5500 rpm do like 13-14psi at 7000.. i have a filter from baker precision coming already, because the one i have is just old to begin with.. its small and wicked dirty so i imagine thats the problem. 5" base, 4" top, 4" long, 3" inlet. I dont want to test with no filter as im a bit wary of ******* up my new turbo. anyway, once i get filter, ill finish tuning and post the final maps. and ac is nice. <3 wolf aircon support.

I would like to thankyou for your post as it give me and others a IDEA of fuel and ignition curves and how the staging it set. I realise that people including myself have different setups but it really helps us to start the setup of all the auxillary settings away from fuel and ignition.
Thanks

Interesting MAP's.....sorry I'm late responding. What are your prims?

I had 1680 x 4 and went down to 1000cc on the prims...much better on the idle

sorry for the late reply, im using stock primaries i think with 1680 secondaries. those maps are quite old. ill post my new ones soon. s5 block this time... staging at 4krpm and higher loads bring in more of the secondary injectors (67% and up)

back from the dead

nyt, been a while since we seen your inputs here.

Any Updates you came up with?

By any chance you still got a base fuel map for 1000pris and 1680 sec?
Extended Street Port.....

Thanks

George

Lightbulb

Nyt its good to see you are still kicking around we have missed you!!! I hope to see how your new S5 engine goes maybe you could make a video if you get it dynoed!! It would be awesome. Your base maps are used by many of us including me to start off and it took the hard work out of the initial setup. As you have done I have shared my map as well but it is still in motion as I sort out things when I get time. I was hoping to start a Map Bank for V4 and V3 Maps anyone object to me starting this??? It would require that your basic mods be included too in the post so that we put the apples with the apples so to speak. If no one has objections I will start the Map post later this week.

Cheers

Yes I am doing work steadily I had a few setbacks with layout editor I was using but
still going. I have changed the sensor files back to .CSV so it can be used with the old software. I will contact you when I get the site up and you can find all my errors.

Cheers

Hey, I haven't been driving around too much due to financial issues and other setbacks. A few weeks ago I sent my turbo in for repair (was sitting around with bad bearings for about 5 months). I just got it back, but a part was left out during the rebuild so I had to send it back out again. I get it back monday. I will post my current maps and some datalogs and whatever else once Its running again.

On the bright side, it only takes about 20 minutes to pull/install my turbo =]

Thats Great nyt... Could you also put your mods into the comments so that other know what the map is for...please . I wish I could change my turbo in half a day and keep all the skin too. Its a bit tight in the engine bay. I am in the process of building a Map Database/Web site for all you great users of Wolf EFi's. This will eliminate the starting blues because you will know the map was run on a working car that has some of the software issues attended too.

Thanks again nyt!

Cheers

I'll try putting the info in the comments, but with the old software it was truncating it to one character. anyways ill probably end up posting it with the map. I just put the turbo in yesterday, but ups came around 430.. when i got it in and realized that the oil feed had a cracked end it was too late to get another one made up.

I just got the hose now, gonna put it on and play w/ the new wolf software. updates coming soon

Cool... I am hoping to get to the strip on 22nd of this month my mate has a oldtech 3.3litre straight 6 , NA that runs 13.2 @ 103mph I hope to give him a shake on 9PSI but my ride gets scary at about 165 kph on the strip I need bigger brakes. Not too many TII 929 wagons around the World can hit over 90 mph across the quarter. I always have more boost too
