My Wolf 3D v4 is broken.

Guys,

What is the best way to get in touch with Chris from Wolf USA.

My Wolf 3d v4 is broken. The unit has been working fine for the past 2 years till this morning. I started to crank and it didn't start. I am not getting any rpm signal on the hand held and not getting any trigger light on the LEDs. I have tested the connections and there are no broken connection. I have also changed the CAS and not luck. I also checked the 2 small fuses inside, , they are fine, I even replaced them just in case a no luck. Looks like the ignition pick-up part is bad.

How are this units fixed? Are they shipped to AUSSIE or is there a place that Chris sends them to?

Any one with the best way to get in touch of Chris, please let me know asap.

Thanks
Carlos

Looking at the wolfems website looks like Chris is not anymore an authorized dealer.

Who can I contact to send the unit for repair?

Thanks

I called and it said the mail box for Chris is full so I couldn't leave a message.

So it might be a valid number.

Please ask him what I have to do to get it serviced or I'll have to put back my haltech.

dang, that sucks. That's a lot of wait time getting it back and forth to Aus. Guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

I spend 2 days putting my e6k back in.
I could of installed it in a few hours since the harness was in it before but decided to rewire and make it look clean. It actually looks cleaner than my wolf installation, i'm going to rewire the wolf like and did with the haltech.

The car is alive and drivable again. I was thinking of leaving the haltech in and selling the wolf but I just realized how much I miss the wolf.

I have carry around the laptop to tune which makes a hassle, and the fine tune between load points is not there.

I'll be shipping out the unit soon, is very expensive to ship to aussie.

the ECUs always have to go back to the factory, the dealers don't really do any repairs unless it is something obvious external of the ECU and easy to repair.

The number the Karack listed for Chris at Wolf is a valid number. If his voicemail is still full then just keep trying back. He just finished up moving from his old location to his new one. So just keep calling and you'll get through. He's just busy. Last time I stopped by there he had 6 FD's and 4 other random piston cars at the shop and it's just him working.

And I don't blame you for missing your Wolf when that Haltech is in your car. It's funny how nice the Wolf's are and not that many people seem to know it yet.

Just shipped it out over the weekend.

130 bucks thru UPS. It wouldn't been alot cheaper thru USPS but I don't trust them. The lady couldn't give me an answer the guarantee if it will get there ok. All she kept telling it would be there in a few days. Damn. I don't care when it gets there, I want it to be guaranteed to get there some day in one piece. Oh well.

Yes I do miss the wolf alot now. The car ran smoother and fuel economy was alot better. A/F ratios are more stable with the wolf I notice, it has less extrapolation between load points. Man I hate the transition in the haltech.

It will be in the car as soon as it comes back in. No more traveling with a heavy old laptop either.

Wolf report to me that the unit is 100% fine.

They think the unit is not getting a strong signal from the CAS since is so weak to begin with. They want me to get from them a reluntor interface to help with the signal.

Any thoughts? I sent them all my maps and they check out ok. I explained my setup and how it was installed and that check out ok. The only thing that all this has incommon is the cold weather. It has done this before during cold weather but this is the first time the car fail to start for a day.

Whats cold weather?????? If it gets down to 1 C thats cold, 30 - 45 C is goood maybe the aussie components got frost bite???? The pre amp may be good value for money. I know the Wolf needs a clean signal before it will start. I have seen this happen when a engine is really cold it doesn't spin fast enough to get a clean signal.

Cheers
