Wolf 3D Innovate LM1 and Wolf Rpm Signal
Innovate LM1 and Wolf Rpm Signal
I have an innovate LM1 with Rpm converter hooked up to my rpm/tps/map signals on my wolf. For some reason, the Rpm converter will NOT initialize and work when i try and hold rpms at 2000, and press/hold the setup button. The LED is solid and it says its getting rpm signal, but it will not configure correctly. The rpms basically just sit there at about 1600 and dont move much regarless of actual engine rpm. I have the violet tach out wire spliced as my rpm signal, is this not the right way to do it?

I have almost the exact problem
I have a LM-1 and the LMA-3 (auxbox?) and have wired the tacoutput to the rpm in the auxbox and get a very similar problem. I got my rpm's to vary slightly (+/- 100ish iirc) however it was right around 1600 all the time
I am going to attempt to wire it to the neg terminal of the leading coil next, but car is parked for a bit so im going to have to wait

I would consider using a 1000 ohm resistor as a pullup resistor. Connect the resistor to +12Volts and the other end to the Tacho signal wire to both the Violet from the Wolf and the Tacho signal of the innovate LM1. Now this is just a guess. Also I recall that innovate LM1 has had similar problems with MegaSquirt ECU's and that they add a current limiting resistor too!
