Exclamation *Wolf 3D V4+ CAS questions*

I purchased a Flying Lead "Wolf 3D V4+" model, not the "V4"

I wired it up to work on a 89' S5 Turbo II.

After some reading, to be on the safe side, I purchased a FD Ignitor.

I know people had issues with the correct firing pattern of the trailing

coils on the earlier Wolfs. So after wiring in the Ignitor and the EMS. It seems

now that after checking for all the correct clearances on my CAS, every was

ready to go. When cranking, it wouldn't start at all, at first my RPM signal was

nowhere to be found, so it ended being a faulty CAS, After purchasing a new CAS

and replacing the faulty one, I was now able to find the correct RPM signal and

cranking speed 250-270 rpms. But now it shows my injector duty is maxed out at

100%. After much effort, it didn't change any results. We double checked all the

wiring and everything else it fine, its just the CAS may be the culprit , getting false

input triggers. I know the V 3.1's you had to modify and grind off the teeth on

CAS. This seems to be the only solution left. . .

Another user with a V4+ , with a TII unmodified CAS is having the same issues.

My question is I know alot of V3.1 user who have upgraded to a V.4/V4+

are using the same modified CAS, Did any of you "V4+" owners have to

do the same? Is this a common thing?

Thanks

if your rpm readings are showing correct and not bouncing to really high numbers, its not your cas thats the problem

What else could the issue?
At first it would read around 2500 rpms cranking speed, every time.
After checking some clearance gaps in the CAS, it doesn't have
irregular high rpm speeds anymore at cranking.

What would cause for the erratic high duty % rate while cranking?

I ran with my stock CAS for a good 1 1/2 years till on day it got no signal from the CAS. Wolf state that the low voltage out from the CAS is the culprit. They sent me a signal modifier to help but I haven't had time to test this. The car for the mean time has been using a different EMS till i have time to go back to wolf.

I used a map from one of the guys here, modified to work with the stock CAS and it worked. Try not using the FD igniter and trailings till you get the car going. When I used the FD igniter I had the trailings flipped even thought it was per the instructions.

bad settings in the ecu for the cas most likely.
