with my old s13.. yeah you can get popped randomly..
I had 2 ref tickets in that thing, over $1k in those ticket fines.. than i had enough

but with these cars, i dont have much of a nightly social life, i dont randomly drive if i dont need to. When i had a benz i went out everywhere clubbin every weeknight in hollywood etc, its anti cop lol.. Its a trade off. You just have to be wise about where and what you do when you drive.
If your a minority, thats already against you imo. I know a few whiteboys who claim this and that being nice to cops they wont bust you yadda yadda bs.. they where jus lucky whiteboys lol

i've been pulled over twice now.
First time, let me off with a "hey, i'm not going to ticket you, but you might get ticketed by some one else" (got pulled over for no front license plate and modified exhaust) He didnt pop my hood.
Second time i got pulled over by CHP for no seat belt. He asked me about my exhaust, if i bought it that way or if i installed it, i told him the car is old and the old exhaust was rusted to hell, so I needed to replace it. then he saw my VIN Plate in my glove box. (i removed my dash and painted it black, the plastic peice that the VIN plate was attached to broke, so i threw the VIN plate into the G-box) Well, apparently thats a FELONY. lol. He popped my hood and checked the vin on the firewall. then he shut my hood as if my engine bay is 100% stock. LMAO. wow.
I got out of that one with just a seat belt ticket. i dont know how...

I enjoy getting pulled over in the FD... Not really...
I have the 4 inch Greddy Superdragger muffler and they say, "It's not stock" but it's CARB legal. I pop the hood and they don't know what the hell they are looking at.
The key here is to keep your engine bay stock looking. And if you want to get crazy, build a tray that bolts over the engine and you need tools to remove it. This way cops can't see anything. They will always question something if it doesn't look stock, then they send you to the REF.

Not sure if that is good reasoning, but it's the game you play. You gotta pay to play with your toys in So Cal... CHP has been hitting the canyons hard these past 8 months.

I drive my modified car almost every chance i get, most of the time daily.
I have downpipes, no-cat and HKS Silent Hi Power. Next year, full Ti-Exhaust and bigger downpipes and some lumpy cams.
