That's awful. They called for medical so that driver was hurt. That's bad course design putting a transient maneuver next to a curb but what can you do. You use the venues that you can get. I hope the driver is ok now.

dude should have livted when he got all drifter with it, plus you gotta know the LS has torque on call and he was turning...not the autox setup driver error should have bought a cheaper car and saved some money.

wtf man. he should have kept his foot out of it on that last one. you could tell he floored it. and then it looks like he tapped the brakes for just an instant..... then spun. i've done that course before, never seen anyone do something like that at the end though. bummer for the driver and car. at least his fuzzy dice are still hanging and bouncing around

Wow. That sucks.
But it seems as no matter how safe you make a track. Someone will figure out a way to go beond the safety messures.

SCCA is very very strict in there rules how to set up a track. How far from any object... ect. ect. Still they have had cars lose tires (all 4 sometimes, see there was a U tube on it). In fact in Irvine we had someone lose control (throtle stuck)and hit a tree. The only death I know of in autoxing. A very sad day. The worst part was. It was a fun run with an experenced driver and a pasenger.
The best we could figure was he tryed to steer away from the crowd and hit a low branch.
Then people wounder why most race sanctioning bodys do not like Convertables

Damn not that FD video with the wheels coming off.... That makes me cry.

About the Corvette guy, it seems more like he lifted, thus causing loss of traction in the rear-- I've made that mistake before in a sprinter kart x_x Scary ****.
