Man its interesting to see peoples different views of different cars are. I really like the G35/G37 and would rock one for a DD if I could afford it. I like the "STAR WARS CHARACTER" exhaust sound. It's pretty nice sounding. It has nice interior, and women love to look at it opposed to guys looking at our cars...The motor is actually a decent platform even for NA, just no one here in the US really takes the effort or pays up for the GOOD JDM NA parts such as AMUSE. What's wrong with swapping out badges? I've got EFINI badges all over my freaking FD, and the only thing that says MAZDA is the brake calipers, am I in the wrong here to think that making fun of a LEGIT badge is kind of dumb? G35/G37s aka SKYLINES in Japan land are both NA, both slower than us, but both nicer, and more expensive than our cars so what's the difference? Just had to say all this after reading the posts that have been made. Now I want a new car... LOL a 2007 Infiniti M35 sounds good about now.

with the gas prices, a civic is worth more than a G35 or any piston powered RX. Slow but Civic owners got cash in their pockets

Most young people around here who drive G35s or EVOs are douches. They picked the car because it's a decent performing car stock that doesn't need any modification to be quick. They then flaunt there new toy like it was the ****. Nothing against the G35, just most of the owners really don't keep an open mind about other cars.

I drive a Rx7 but I know there are faster cars out there. I don't go around revving my engine at anything I think I can beat. And if I were to do that, then people have the right to post hate messages against me.

Oddly, I haven't had much of an issue like you guys. In the FD, my exhaust sounds nasty so people don't mess with me. I have had people mess with me in the STi. Just today I had some kid in a new civic try to VTEC me at a stop sign. He smoked his gay front tires and I slowly let out the clutch and pulled him in first gear. Baysh got smoked and merged on!

i can honestly say that a turbo does that motor/car wonders but still i would never drive one daily.

thats cuz your FD is beat
The car doesn't have to be ridiculously fast to be an enjoyable DD you know... I see them all DAY where I work...

I just ordered a Greddy Twin Turbo kit, CARB certified and all. I'm sure it'll pull against your boosted S.

Yes, you drive the same car my dad (who always pisses me off) drives.

They are great cars though. I like the new G sedans, and it's nice to have 2 SKYLINEs in the family

I'm the opposite, I was in love with the skylines before, but I realized there was either no way getting it registered here in Cali, or had to pay MotoRex (the only "legit" supplier at the time...later bankrupted due to fraud and stuff) about 50 to 100grand for one, and I don't think there was Kaizo at the time either.
Then one magical night I saw 2 FD's driving up a local street...a guy in the yellow one and a girl in the red one (I think...it's been a while), that's the time I instantly fell in love with it and helped me make the choice to buy the FD I now have. I was actually debating between the FD or the S2000, G35 was somewhat in the debate too (back to the topic...lol). I'm glad I chose the FD though.

I was cruising down 880 on the way to Milpitas last night around 1 AM... a blue 350Z saw me jamming down the ramp and came across from the fast lane and slowed down right next to me. I was like -____- you serious? I was just cruising at 70 the whole time, he was next to me for good 2 minutes... then he decided to down shift and take off and got stuck in traffic. HAHAHA. I was in my Mazda3... no cat =X. Then I just took off and I think the loudness from my exhaust scared him cause he didn't catch up after that.
