Older dude in the 40's with a g35...I'd be sad if I were him to only be able to afford ONE G35 with my mid-life crisis
I guess he couldn't afford a corvette either.

The last couple posts were funny I know a few G owners (two to be exact) who are actually good guys and genuine "car people", but in my experience the random G driver on the street, more often than not, is a douche.

Like I said the douchebag types don't understand or appreciate cars for what they are, what makes them tick, or even care for that matter. HOw many of those guys even know how to change the oil on the damn thing? Not many I'd venture to guess. I can understand if you bought it as a nice, clean, semi-quick daily driver, but if you bought it to be the quickest kid on the block, or the "special kid with the cool car" you chose the wrong car.

Unless you want to shed weight (and that's a no no with luxury cars these days) or add a massive power booster (turbo, supercharger, not many of those guys have the ***** to do that from what I've seen), or a combo of both... you're just another dime a dozen G. Sorry.

And I think the G37s look like the new Sentra or whatever it is. Not that it's a bad looking car.

As far as Nissans go, I really, REALLY want a GTR Now that's a car!

The new GTR is a great car. Too bad it does not come with a standard gearbox. No, I am not going to be taking full potential of the computer's super precise shifts. I just want something fun.

The FD probably gets less attention because you don't drive it as often? Just a guess, but for the ppl who know about cars, they'd be drooling all over your FD than the G35.

Yeah, I dont drive my FD all that much. When i do it gets some attention of course, but mostly from kids and car guys. Oddly enough I never get anyone trying to race or rev on either of my cars. Maybe its just the area I live but the most obnoxious drivers out are still Hondas and alot of srt's in the last couple years. Evo's, sti's and other G's dont seem to be too popular with the ricers in Santa Barbara and northern Ventura counties. All the shitbags around here are in bimmers, the worst seem to flock to crappy e36 M3's.

Nice car! Are you planning to do anything more to it? I really love the sound of those VQ engines...hehe
I don't think there are as many Asians in your area that's why you don't see as many Evo's, STI's and G's...these are typical Asian racer wannabe cars. The area I live in and the school I go to...I can at least see 10 of each per day if I stay on the road long enough. I remember going to the school parking lot...and immediately seeing 5 Evo's in one row, and I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose.

Nah, I dont really plan to do anything else to it. I spend enough on my FD I dont need to start going crazy on the G.

I think the seller forgot to mention to these guys that that car is about 1k lbs heavier than an rx7 with roughly the same stock hp.
there nice cars...

Here i thought i was the only one getting this in the FD.
A few weeks ago a white G35 with rims and exhaust raced me. I just doing the speed limit because my GF was in the car with me, she hates me racing, anyhow the G followed me for a few miles then just revs and guns it, i ignored it. At the next light he starts reving at me and my GF looks at me and said just kick his *** so he stops annoying me, that was all i needed. I gave him a head start as i eased it into first, he was about two car length ahead when i nailed it, past him by the time i get into 2nd, let him hear the BOV then let off the throttle. I dont do that much esp with the GF in the car but this guy was the annoying fly by ricer type, funny thing is that he tried to race me again but i got to my exit and turned off.
funny thing is that most people dont want anything to do with the RX when they see it, most just give thumbs up and cruse, its acutally nice driving it, seems like alot of the ricers around here have grown up for the most part.

^Heh, I had some toolbag in a G35 try to race me on Monday in my FD. He first started flashing his HID's like mad, then tailgated me for a few seconds, and riiight as he was about to pull up next to me, I got off the exit

ive had that happen countless times with z/g while i was in my sentra. i love killing a car 2 times the price of mine. even more enjoyable is the look on their faces when they get owned by a girl driving a sentra.

lmao. I've never really thought it sounded like that, but now i do.

The 350/G35's are too quiet for my taste, but i like my exhaust annoyingly loud. I use it like a horn.

Everyone tells me my ish is loud as fack, but i think its fine. havent had any real problems with the popo yet. Although, i did get pulled over once for modified exhaust and no front license plate.(He let me go with a warning)

I still don't hear the resemblence...I just hope it doesn't always come up in my head everytime I hear the VQ now.

I got pulled over for a modified exhaust, and when the cop walked around the car he decided to throw no front license plate on the citation too. Lucky you got a warning...I got a "If you want to talk, talk in court."(from the cop) ticket. Luckily I fought it and won. From that point on I put a silencer on the exhaust and got used to it, so I just keep it on now. I can hear music in my car, yay.

Yeah, the cop was just fishing for bigger offenses when he pulled me over. I guess, he prolly thought i was some punk kid from behind.

at first i thought he pulled me over, cuz i made a pretty hard right turn. I believe i jammed thru the turn in front of him, but i didnt see him at the light.( i wasnt looking for him) all of a sudden he was behind my *** two blocks down the street.

"I was like, what did i get pulled over for? " and he was like "I tell you, when you give me all your information." Both me and my girl were thinking, 'what a dick'. But i got out of it. Cops know better than to try and mess with me. I mean, look at my avatar, if that isnt intimidating, then i dont know what is.

What was this thread about again?

to me the zs and g35s sound watery in their exhaust note. kinda like the newer corvettes but the vettes have a nicer lope to them and a deeper idle

I have a friend that just turned 18 with an 05 G35 thats never tracked before. he loves to talk **** and says he doesnt need to go to the track cause he knows he is faster then us because he has traction control in his G and we dont.

Other night a G37 tried to pick a race with me and I smoked him. Then I waited for him to catch up and i taunted him a bit, he just slowed down and waited for my friend in an EK hatch to catch up and picked on him instead.

Loolllll.... So Traction control makes you go faster now I guess he can beat F1 cars now, since they no longer have traction control. Tell him to go to Infineon and I smoke him in a 25 year old car with half the horsepower
